If you are shooting for the 5000 barrier...go with the Radeon 9800 Pro 256MB model. It seems like you are not holding back on anything, get the best.

my comp breaks 5000 without overclocking:
2.53 p4(not ht type, has 533 fbs)
512 mb rdram(800 type, two 256 mb sticks in slots 1 and 2)
80 gig 7200 rpm maxwell ide disk
64mb ddr ti4200 (45.53 driver and dx9.0b)
xp home edition
it's about a year old, but it's good
you could always go with this:
P4 3.2 800mhz bus
1gig 3200 ram (dule channel)
9800pro
aerobahn says he got 8200 with that config. over priced ($4000 easyly with retail os, office, good monitor, usb cards, good disk, etc.), but with another 1-3 gigs of ram(yes, some motherboards now are cheap enough to buy that have 4gig support[max for single 32 bit processor])
edit: beer, please get a different sig, it's burning my eyes.
