Final Fantasy Unlimited

Anyone seen this anime? I downloaded the 1st episode aaand I must say it's ...different.

Anime, i didnt really like it, the main characters are kids...... The only good thing is that guy with the gun that can summon things.

I've seen one episode of it. Didn't like it. I don't know many who do, either.

I've seen half of the series. It doesn't get much different from the first episode, n the second one, n the third. Maybe it's the subs, but IMO square didn't put much effort into making Unlimited.

I saw the whole series, it's based more on the older FF's like FFII and V. Gotta admit though the summons were neat.

I've seen the entire thing, and genuinely liked almost all of it. I will admit, though, that it's very... unusual. :sweat:

Final Fantasy Unlimited is an anime based on Final Fantasy (of course...but not one of the Final Fantasies).

To me...it doesn't seem like the Final Fantasy I'd play if it were to be played on console.

You know what, though...I wish they could try making anime based on one of the existing Final Fantasies. Final Fantasy VII would be very nice. What doy ou guys think?

I have the whole series of Unlimited, but I was never sure if it was actually created by Square cause I don't remember seeing any credits in the anime...it was really strange, but the gunner guy was extremely strong, considering the two kids and the girl. However, the storyline wasn't at all great compared to the FF games...

FFU was completly out of wack, I hated that series to death. The only good episodes were the last two. I'm glad they cansled the second season after the first run. It was way to gay to watch I couldn't stand it. If they're going to make a FF anime they should make it with a plot that is actually interesting. FF unlimited was like watching a bad season of sliders. I hope they actually think about what they are making next time they decide to make a anime series about something that so many people are in love with.

I mean the part where that guy takes out those pearl things or whatever and puts them into the gun and uses a summon is cool but after about the 3rd time, its about as predictable as an episode of the Power Rangers.

i was thinkin of watching it cuz its so easy to find and i like FF
but ive seen some pics and it looked wack to me if they made like an ff7,8 or 10 i would surely watch

I agree with most of the people on this thread. FF U isn't what it's hyped up to be. The anime was way too kiddy even for my taste. Animation during the first few episodes were .... ummm unique ... They started improving around episode 10, adding shading effects, smoother CG, better lip synching, but they didn't improve on the story which was it's major flaw.
The only character I liked in the anime was the demon swordsman, but that was because he reminded me of Cloud from Final Fantasy 7 ^_^ It's pretty obvious ya know? Spiky haired loner wielding a giant sword.
The anime really doesn't live up to the name. The producers probably hoped that they could cash in on the final fantasy franchise and in the end created something that isn't even worth watching. There are lots of other anime out there.
