Like many others, I am very skeptical of this movie making it to the big screen. Remember a few years ago there was an announcement that there was going be a live-action Akira movie. What ever happen to that? Same thing with the DragonBall Z movie. I just think the studio bought the rights just so no one else would get them.

good laughs. problem is, that's probably how cheesy it will actually be.

and dear god, i hope natalie portman (my love) does not ruin herself with this film! well, even if she does, my heart will still be hers.

about those other movie liscences, i heard the Akira dealy is still in predevelopment, and Warner Brothers recently announced they will make 4 DBZ movies, one for each major story arc in the TV series. (It's hard to describe something DBZ-related with the word "story"...)

James Cameron is making a live-action Battle Angel, and there are plenty more live action anime adaptations coming out. pisses me off.
