You have a rather good list here. I rather enjoyed SAO and Accel World and am searching for my next anime... what is your top recommendation?
What I'm looking forward to next season: Saki (Season 2), Tamako Market (A complete original work by K-On! director and writer Naoko Yamada and Reiko Yoshida), Vividred Operation (Directed AND character design by Strike Witches Kazuhiro Takamura), and Sasami-san@Ganbaranai, an original romantic comedy.
So far, there's naught but a spate of internet originals, shorts and sketches being put out. The gewd stuff won't be out for a few more days or weeks ... it's the New Years holiday in Japan, and apparently even the networks will take a "break".
Here's my short list in addition to above:
Mangirl (not what you think it is)
Nekomonogatari (I think this is like the alt universe of Bakamonogatari)
Hiyokoi
Puchimas! - Petite iDOLM@STER
Amnesia
GJ-Bu
Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai NEXT
Chihayafuru 2
Movies being released:
Nekomonogatari (Kuro)
Toaru Majutsu no Index: Endymion no Kiseki
Star Driver the Movie
Berserk Ougon Jidai Hen III: Kourin
And for Mal, Hetalia The Beautiful World 5th Season Jan 25.
i dunno if any of yall seen Baka and Test but hands down it is one of the best anime series to date i have em on blu ray and they are on my top 10 favorite animes ever
So far, at least for me, it's been Tamako Market that has both been funny AND charming. As usual, Kyoto Animation has done a wonderful job, and I always look forward to their upcoming releases.
There's a quirky (funny if you're into japanese language or the whole rural vs urban comedy line) series of shorts entitled "Boku no ImÅto wa 'ÅŒsaka Okan'" or literally My Little Sister's an "Osaka Momma". At first, I thought late last year it would be an actual series, but then found out that it wasn't and later after poking around ANN noticed a lot of directors seem to be enamored with these short "skits" of around 5 minutes each and that this season has seem a plethora of them crop up.
I kind of want to go back and watch Bokurano again.
I'm pretty sure this makes me a terrible person.
Why? I personally never heard of this series, but then again, there's a lot of anime that I never watched during the time they aired during my days playing FFXI/WoW. That's probably more sad ... in many ways.
