My Top 5 Anime/Manga

So, I recently got into the whole anime thing and I have to say it is some pretty good stuff. The first series I ever watched was Sekerie and then BLEACH. I have watched ever episode of BLEACH to the current one that aired on Tuesday. So, my current top 5:

1) BLEACH
2) Sekirei
3) Naruto
4) Chobits
5) Angel Beats

There are more that I like but I guess I should have made it top 10 but five is good for right now...

You should really separate the two. There's animes that suprass their manga origins and mangas that make their anime incarnation look very sad indeed.

That said, Cowboy Bebop needs to be your next anime. No excuses.

Ignorance can be fixed simply with increased exposure, so no worries. Just give us a sense of what you're looking for in a series and I'm sure we can bombard you with titles to go check out.

But seriously, go track down Cowboy Bebop and watch it. It's good stuff.

Off the top of my head and in no particular order:

Trigun - Space Western, good soundtrack and generally a fun time
Cowboy Bebop - I have trouble finding anything wrong with this show. It's just an incredibly solid work.
Berserk - Visceral and cathartic.
Slayers - A brilliant comedy.
Bokurano - I just really like the places this one goes.

Find the chronological order of this series and watch it in that order the first time. The episodes are presented out of order.

That's half the fun. If you watch them chronologically you learn certain details earlier than you should.

Which is why you watch it a second time in the aired order.

The first time, you're going to want to kill someone in a few episodes. If it wasn't for the vast amount of porn in Japan, there would have been a lot of violence when the series first aired.

I have a friend that skips around looking for only the best videos from a series and it gets on my nerves. I like to watch everything from beginning to end but that is just me...
