Manga suggestions

Looking for some good manga to read.
I already read Naruto, Bleach, and Fairy Tail, and I finished FMA. I'm looking for some good stuff, preferably not licensed, but I imagine I can find it regardless.
Is One Piece good? I know a lot of people like it, but I saw one or two anime eps and just wasn't into it. A friend at work recently got caught up on it and he was still on the fence.

I'm only familiar with licensed stuff but I'll rattle off my list of stuff worth hunting down all the same:

Akira
Nausicaa of the Valley of the Wind
Berserk

Any of those three would be a worthwhile read. I've invested money in hard copies of both Nausicaa and Berserk, and will eventually get around to picking up Akira as well.

Ok, for Code Geass all I can find is 17 chapters and the last one is from a year ago. Is that the right one?

Hmm...all I know is that there are 4 story arcs that were released.

Yeah, there's Lelouch, Suzaku, then a shorter one that was like 4 chapters, and then another that was set in a different time.

Appleseed. It was the manga equivalent of the Holy Bible during my teenage years. There were not very many manga I read back then, but anything from Masamune Shirow I read till the pages were well worn. I never really got into manga until I dropped out of college to find new ways to waste money. I haven't bought manga since the late 90s though. I think I have the complete import sets of Ranma 1/2, Silent Mobius, Slayers, Ah Megami Sama and a few others which I painstakingly collected over that time from the only place in Hawaii that would carry it and charge me extortionist prices. I'm still fuming over that.

Found all of One Piece on Mangafox. Still unsure how I feel about it. Some issues are really good, some are just boring. Seems like they can take an interlude issue and turn it into 20 interlude issues. Definitely the best at spending lots of issues on not accomplishing anything. And for manga thats really saying something.

Off topic, is anyone reading Bleach? Friend said he read an interview that its gonna keep going for another 2 or 3 years. WTF? Seemed like it was about to be over, no clue where they're going with it now.

Ya, I'm reading Bleach. I watched about 160 episodes of the anime and then got behind. I had an manga app on my iPad so I was going to start at the beginning and catch up..........HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Optimistic little shit aren't I? (Or am I a masochist?)

Good lord, Bleach is still chugging? I was hoping it would end eventually, I'm tired of trying to keep up with the anime and its filler.

Call me crazy but I think mangas that run for so long tend to not have a story to tell.

It was pretty epic, cid. Whats been the main story just ended, kinda abruptly, but after it gets done with this two week break its gonna be back and is supposed to go for at least two more years.

I am currently reading Naruto, Bleach, One Piece and DeathNote. All of which I very much enjoy. I am really excited to see where One Piece is headed. Also If you haven't read it, Full Metal Alchemist is one of my all-time favorites.
