Well, I think they still want people to go out and buy the games.
Xenosaga, on the other hand, should have just been an anime in the first place.
The Devil May Cry anime is about as weak as the games in terms of character in story, which isn't surprising to me. Episode 3 oddly approached something close to worthy of Cowboy Bebop, but just barely missed it.
That's mostly my problem with Dante. He's someone that should be more like Spike Spiegal or Solid Snake, someone that grows in strength because of his past and that past allowing him to empathize with others even if he'd rather not get mixed up in their affairs. Dante doesn't want to grow, empathize or understand.
And when you think about that, it makes you wonder why people are so worked up about this new version of Dante Ninja Theory has come up with. Its not like the old Dante was a good character.
