    What's your pet peeve in Anime

    Well, the title is self-explanatory. Since other good topics had one, so should this one. I personally have seen near all US available animes and have a lot to say on the matter.

    1. Long, drawn out, boring, and mono-tone talking. (I'm looking at you Ghost in the Shell)
    2. The recooking of "boy lives with 6 amazingly hot chicks that all happen to be in love with him". (I'm looking at you Tenchi and all the others)
    3. The completely useless and unneeded addition of large robots. (I'm looking at you Eureka)
    4. The horrible lack of additional episodes for great anime. (I'm looking at you FLCL)
    5. The destruction of great plot, art, and action with a single fight that lasts for 5+ episodes. (I'm looking at you DBZ)

        Why in the hell would you want to ruin great things?

        FLCL would break down if you tried to add anything to it, as would many other animes. How about you just look at the other stuff the studio makes?

        Only pet peeve I have is people that complain about subtitles. Anything else can be alright in some circumstances.

          Eureka Seven would be REALLY FUCKING BORING without the robots.
          5. The destruction of great plot, art, and action with a single fight that lasts for 5+ episodes. (I'm looking at you DBZ)
          DBZ's plot sucks pretty bad, and the art ain't that great.

              Its REALLY FB anyway. DBZ's plot is original to say the least and the art was amazing for its time.

                  Wait, wait, wait. So you're calling DBZ's plot original and not boring, and Eureka Seven is boring and apparently not original either?

                  By the way, original =!= good. DBZ's pacing is still goddamned awful even when they're not making 5 minutes last 5 episodes, and at the end of the day it still adds up to Goku kicking the bad guy's ass every single time.

                    I was agreeing. People need to be more open to watching anime in subtitlization. However, it can be understandable for people who read so slowly that they don't even get to see the animation...

                    Admit it: DBZ single-handedly brought ANIME into the main stream US market. If that's not good, I don't know what is.

                          This is the reason why alot of anime nerdies in this country want to go to Japan, they think going to Japan will make them live their "Anime Fantasies" its sick.

                          Me to a friend: yeah i lived in japan for about 14 years, was a military brat.

                          I hated how they spent whole episodes talking to eachother and powering up instead of just brawling...

                          Frieza: im going stronger...-next episode- im getting so powerful -next episode- Ohh mannn im getting so strong...

                          Especially when DBZ only came on once a week, you'd wait a whole week just to see two people talk to eachother the whole time while in some crazy battle position charging up some big energy beam thats most likely going to

                          A) miss
                          B) not be strong enough

                            The OP is posing a poser.

                            My only "anime pet peeve" would effectively be being completely out of the loop. As in, a year and a half ago, if you mentioned something like Haruhi or Lucky Star to me, I'd likely give you a blank stare.

                              ~ Animes series that end right when they should, but the characters are so cool you wish they'd make more episodes anyway.

                              ~ Animes they should have stopped making a long time ago, yet they haven't.
