I didn't care for the Bounto arc, mostly because I thought it was sheer ludicrous in how many of the characters were portrayed and deviated from their usual personas that you can easily gleam from reading the manga (Or just watching episodes 1 to 63)

For example, when Orihime was very reluctant to do just about anything with Rukia enslaved by that one Bounto. Really now ... -_- ... she was never that indecisive in the prior arc.

The same could be applied to all of the vice-captains and even captains. They pretty much dumbed them down in order to force the arc to stretch beyond any logic other than to fill out the 2006 TV season and start fresh with the return to the manga storyline at the top of 2007.

I'm still somewhere around 230sh in the manga (Trying to play catch-up is addicting) I'm mostly following Naruto atm, since the pace has picked up quite a bit and the series has gotten tremendously interesting, although maybe a tad bit outlandish at certain points (Then again, this is Naruto afterall)

The one against Sasori of the Red Sands? That is where the anime is atm. In fact last week's Dattebayo's release features the start and it continues through this week and probably for the next two as well.

If you mean after this point (There has been at least 2 arcs and they are on the 3rd arc in the 'post-3 year hiatus' manga now) I don't know if Sakura will be involved in anything else, but rest assured, it will come to it soon. I'm predicting a chance meeting between Sasuke's 4-man cell (Sasuke narrowly escapes death at the hands of a certain Akatsuki member) and Naruto's and Kiba's teams (This is the current point in the manga)

Yea, that one, I randomly downloaded ep 20 yesterday, and personaly this is the only highlight of the series for me, this is the BEST FIGHT BY FAR. (minus the Lee vs Gara fight or the Lee vs that Bone guy fight).

In the manga, Shikamaru versus Hidan/Kakuzu (2 Akatasuki Members). Not just the first fight (With Asuma's team) but the subsequent "vengeance" fight as well. If Shikamaru had additional skills in his repetoire, he would be really powerful (brains + physical strength/endurance) As such, he's mostly a commander-type character, but a brilliant strategist regardless.

Oh Yeah... to keep this on topic...

Episode 50 of Bleach Anime is my favorite. It's off the wall humor and sadly, I don't think Viz should even try to localize this because the humor is very cultural (if you're a Japanese national or lived there long enough to get the geist of it, should be entertaining - just being Japanese won't help you i.e., being a Katonk) Ah well ... I doubt they'll take my advice. Same with Crayon Shin-Chan and I lament that because I guarantee even most otakus won't get the subtle humor.

That's why stuff like yakitatte!! Ja-pan is hard to win over on an American audience because of all the latent Japanese humor in it.

I'm quite comfortable with "Japanese humor" because my childhood was pretty much filled with a lot of what you do see in Crayon Shin-chan (altho the ass dance is extreme and I don't think anyone would do that even on their most naughtiest days as a child). I think directly influenced with the fact that 1/3 of my family is Japanese, I have many Japanese friends and I myself was told that I behaved so much like a Japanese by Japanese visitors (in the sense that I could blend in with the populace in Japan)

In October I'll be flying to Tokyo and staying with relatives for a few weeks. Should be entertaining >_>
