Okay so recently I've been watching this anime called "Bleach", I'm sure you guys are familiar with it. It's really good, and I'm not the type to stay up till 4 in the morning to watch a 30 minute episode. So, my question to you:

Where can I download ENGLISH (Not English subtitles, but english versions) of Bleach to my Computer that I can put onto my iPod?

I'm looking for a site that I can pay and download every single episode, in english (Or just about every episode..) or if you know a way I could get them for free... that's cool too /grin

I don't really want to download a _torrent either... but is it even possible to get them on a _torrent?

I'm really into this show and want to watch it more. All help is appreciated.

And your hair flows like.. The ocean breeze...
Not a million fights could make me hate you, you’re invincible.
    Yeah, It’s true.
It’s in your eyes, where I find peace.

    Re: Bleach

cartoon network is running the episodes in english, but they are very behind the japanese/en subs. I think it's Viz that does the localization so you might want to check their website

    Thanks Yyg!

No. You can either buy it, watch it on Adult Swim, or live without it.

I click on them and apparently every single one is dead..

        Maybe they took them off.

Is it still running in Japan?
Seems like they're at the end of the storyline, or near it on AS. They come up with a new storyline, or are looks deceiving?

            Re: Bleach

Caspian, they are most likely running fillers, because the Manga is still going strong in Japan.

And Tipsy, the only way you're going to get subbed episodes is on a torrent, or IRC, no one hosts public FTP's anymore, it's too bandwidth intensive, and limited. Check your PMs

              Re: Bleach

I also get the subbed epis straight from the Dattebayo site, I believe the show airs Wednesday night in Japan, and DB usually has the new episode subbed by Wednesday night in the US. If you really want to watch the english version you probably have to check youtube or buy it, but considering the english dubs only go through the first 50 episodes or so, and the JP ones are currently at 133, you may want to get used to the subtitles if you want to watch the entire story.

                Re: Bleach

Usually, its just best to watch subbed imho... just some of the english translation and voice acting doesn't cut it these days. Espically when studios edit content. Sides, Renji should have said howl, not roar >_>
Though... they did a good pick for Ichigo, Yoruichi and Chad for the english dubbed. Oh, youtube.com has subbed into the Vizard arc which, tied with the Bounto, are my favorites ^^

Yea the dubs for Bleach arent as bad as say Naruto <.<

FMA dubs weren't too bad either, there were a few I would change but I don't remember who off-hand.

                    1-63 = Manga
                    64-109 = Filler
                    110+ = Manga

                    They're on 133 or 134 in Japan I believe...

                        Re: Bleach

As someone who is totally clueless in the ways of anime', what is the difference b/w manga and anime' and what do you mean b/e manga and filler?

As for where we're at in AS, so we're nearly to the end of the first "manga"? So we get like 40 eps of "filler" now?

                          Re: Bleach

                          Manga = Comics/Graphic Novels.
Anime = Cartoons, although they can be much more serious and adult than American cartoons generally are.

What they mean is though, those shows use the Manga (normally the original) storyline, and filler is episodes that don't have much of a storyline, or use their own (usually inferior) storyline to fill time between doing the storyline.

Filler is like, clip shows in America. They aren't quite that bad, but they don't really add anything but time to the series usually.

A lot of times, in Japan, a manga will get made, it will be picked up, and made into an anime. This is what happened with Dragonball, I think Naruto, Yuyu Hakusho, Haruhi (Haruhi was technically a light novel, but still), Chobits, Yugioh, etc... I honestly can't think of any anime series that weren't manga first, with the notable exceptions of Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, and Gundam.

                            Re: Bleach

Manga generally means the graphic novel. Usually a title will have an existing manga that gets translated into an anime series. Episodes of show are released a lot faster than issues of magazine or whatever the printed media is, so filler content has to be inserted into the anime to keep it from catching up to the manga and running out of story to tell. Filler episodes are second rate in terms of plot and at the end of a filler arc everything is usually the exact way it was before the arc started.

I just realized the guy was asking for ENGLISH releases.

Sorry, but that is illegal, and piracy (so are fansubs, but that's another ethical debate).

if you want them on your ipod the only legal way to do it is to buy the DVD's use a conversion program (free on doom9.net as well as a guide) and put it on there.
