I had a dream last night that they were making more Bebops. It was almost the best dream I've ever had. Also, Cowboy Bebop is for sure one of the coolest damned animes to ever have been drawn.

I dunno, Cowboy Bebop is certainly great for it's noir/cinema feel, I don't think the drawing is super amazing. That honor definitely lies with FLCL.

FLCL is another amazing anime. Even if the series was short, it was great. I remember watching it and thinking "Damn. This F-ing anime rocks, and I don't understand it at all."

yeah. The first time through FLCL is like "HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK JUST HAPPENED.", but completely awesome. The second time is like "ooh... this makes sense... WAIT WHAT THE FUCK", and very awesome.

gainax kept it awesome by keeping it short, instead of lengthening it and making it mediocre. I wish it was longer, but it would be crap if it was (not to mention they'd be showing animatics, heaven knows that pushed their budget to the limit)

Giant robots the size of Gundams aren't gonna happen, it'd be a waste of time and resources unless they can actually make armor that is nigh-impenetrable like in the series. Anything up to Macross/Robotech size mecha are a bit more in the realm of possibility.

Depends on what Gundams you're talking about. Gundams have generally gotten bigger as time has gone on, oddly enough. The RX-78-2 Gundam is significantly smaller than the Nu.

I really can't pick a greatest.. there's so many different genres and styles and different anime and manga I love that I can't pick one which excels all the others.

Now you think it's the greatest, but I bet a few months down the line you'll be watching some other highly-addictive series saying it's the greatest.

I don't know if this was mentioned (maybe back on page two), but another robot anime that I got into was Neon Genesis Evangelion. It's a pretty deep show, and always had this darker side to it. I don't know. It was always appealing to me.


Also Trigun was the shit.

And Chobits.
