the original, orignal Lion voltron was die cast metal and had firing, spring-loaded weapons. when matchbox (or matel) started making it, it all became plastic and none of the weapons would fire.

There were iirc 3 sets of voltron toys for the 3 variations of voltron. There was Lion Voltron (most fondly remembered), Space(ship) Voltron and Robot (3 combining robots) Voltron.

I think I still have my die-cast Lion Voltron in my parent's basement somewhere

They tried making a 'new' 3-D version of the (Lion) Voltron show back in the late 90s. It sucked, horribly. But at the same time they released a mass amount of toys with the series, which is where all those wierd 'voltrons', and the action figures who went with them, originated from.

Bein from the 80s myself there were a few shows I remember lovin too that I don't see on the list. I'm sure we all seen em and most of them made 'comebacks' over the past few years so I don't think I really have to name em. But one show which I remember loving, as well as the toys that went with it, was The Centurions

well now that we have clarified that we are older than a lot of the players on here..... I have to go by my mom's place this weekend and see how many of the toys I grew up with are left. Maybe it is time to pass them on to my brother's kids.

BBBB was supposed to be a acronym for Big Bad Beetle Borgs. For some reason I really liked that show as a kid.

I also remember Super Human Samurai Cyber Squad, and I still have one of the old toys that can transform sort of.

ROBOTIX!!! thank you taz!!! i've been trying to remember the name of that show for the longest friggin time!

does anyone remember a show called (trying to recall the best i can) air raiders? like the toys had projectiles and blast away rocks based on air? like if you hit the pump button thing, it launches missles and stuff?

what about he-man? that was my afterschool programming back in the day. find arko!
