what show first turned you into an anime fan?

Robotech! Max Sterling kicks ass! That's what got my interest in anime. I had watched a little of Sailor Moon before that, but that didn't spark my anime interest.

After that, Cowboy Bebop got me to make sure I stayed. I like Rurouni Kenshin too, he ranks up there with Max.

lol hmmm well waking up in my PJs and eating cereal was Voltron time w00t lol. i can't even tell you any of the characters names i just remember really liking the show as a kid. can't say it really got me into anime though as i was so young i didn't realize any difference between Voltron and Scooby Doo =\ i think it was the Street Fighter Animated Movie lol which got me "into anime" or i realized hey "this is cool" and began to keep my eye open for more to come. it think what really hooked me though was Gundam Wing. i really enjoyed the in-depth characters and story along with the (good for a series) animation. So yes Cartoon network a few years ago (the think i dog on so much now) is basically what got me more into anime.

Oh yes, DBZ.. it was many years back when it was on FOX early saturday mornings. I loved it but they kept starting over when they'd get into the "new episodes" (at that time it was raditz-vegita) Then it was raplaced by Monkey Magic ...enjoyed that too :sweat: ...

Years later I enjoyed the Gundam Wing/Endless Waltz on CN and git into DBZ again haha. Now I'm finally starting the english sub. episodes ... I watched Evangelion and finished that a while ago and now i *just* finished Trigun. SUUSH A GOOD TIME

I'd have to say my first experience with anime had to be Speed Racer on saturday mornings when I was younger. Also there was voltron which rocked and I remember watching Bionic 6, M.A.S.K. (best toys when I was a kid),.

Then my Uncle introduced me to Akira, and then when I had chickenpox he gave me his set of all the episodes to Robotech which I watched and loved.

Now I'm all about Bebop, Trigun, Robotech still, and I loved Jin-Roh. It's a great movie.

If there's any other Speed Racer fans out there they just came out with a season 1 dvd, i had to get it . I look back on it now and I just laugh it's so corny but I love it.
