What happened?

I remember 7 years ago, I wasn't a big fan of anime...

Until I started watching Cartoon Network (DBZ, Gundam Wing, and Tenchi Muyo), ever since I have always tried looking for new anime to watch. I have always gotten my anime from Cartton Network (or Adult Swim now), as they had generally shown some really good anime (Ruroni Kenshin, Trigun, Cowboy Bebop, FLCL, etc...).

But now... now Adult Swim has barely any good anime now that they finished airing the new episodes of Samurai Champloo and FLCL, sure they still have Naruto, but that's basically it in terms of good anime!

What I'm trying to say is that I'm disapointed how the one channel where I got most of my anime (some of the best anime) is now showing less than decent anime (no offense, but Inuyasha annoys the hell outta me, it's more wishy washy than action) and constant reruns of good anime (I love Cowboy Bebop and Trigun as much as the next guy, but I'm sick and tired of constantly seeing old reruns every night!).

So what do you guys think, do think the anime on Adult Swim is still good, or should they finally bring in more new material, and if so, what anime would you like to see added to their lineup?

well, i usually watch trigun, FMA, FLCL( but there were only 6 episodes, so i was pissed), bebop and...champloo <_< some reruns are good i guess... maybe the only option for you is to go to bestbuy and purchase some anime :O or dowload it....<_< but thats pirating

I don't bother watching adult swim anymore.

This is not to say the anime isn't decent. The only good anime that comes on anymore only airs once a week. (Samurai Champloo, Cowboy Bebop, Evangelion = ). However, most of the adult swim now consists of stupid shit like space ghost, sealab 2021, and all of that other mumbo jumbo that I don't care to watch.

I've got digital cable, but I don't get the channel where I live (the Anime network is only available in cable packages in certain states)...

I don't like Evangelion, I think Shingi (I can't spell his name right, the whiny little wuss who is the main character ) is by far the most annoying anime character I have ever seen, all he does is complain!

I think some of Adult Swims other shows are pretty funny, like Robot Chicken for example!

Samurai Champloo isn't that good, and neither is Evangelion. The only anime worth watching is GITS 2nd GIG, but it only airs every Saturday at midnight. There isn't actually an anime channel on cable TV I don't think, but Comcast has some pretty crappy on demand shows that you can load up and watch whenever.

What happened? Oh thats easy anime became part of popular culture and thus all they are playing is anime shows for the Ignorant Masses , in all its highly edited, repetitive and badly dubed glory.

I know they are playing Eva but its just not quite the same watching it on tv plus w/o watching the whole thing (repeatedly) it is hard for the people(Ignorant Masses) to understand why that show has such a fallowing.

Basically get a Netflix account and problem solved. And yes I have seen the anime network and it is godly, but Cable is a ripoff so guess no Anime Network for me. *Note lives in one of the original test markets for the Anime Network

And for adult swim there original stuff is ok but overall its going down hill, all i really watch anymore is family guy just because its something to watch.
