hey i was wonderin if there are ppl on here that make amvs<animated music videos> i have lots of anime clips that i want to put into video with music i was wonderin wot programs do ppl use and how is it done i want to do times pieces with the music with some fadeing in it if some 1 could help i would aprciate it thnx.

Well, Adobe Photoshop/Premiere are quite good for picture/video editing.

And also professional tools so they cost alot.

Windows now come with a movie editor. It's not the greatest, but for what it does, I don't see any harm using it until you get really familiar and really good at it. Also a low budget way of getting into making amvs.

The drawback is that Windows Media doesn't come with the required codecs to view lots of different mpg and avi encoding schemes that you find on a lot of files out there, so you might have to eventually purchase an encoder/decoder utility or find an open source project that does this.

Either way, your best bet is to go to popular anime sites and post your questions there. You won't get too much help here.

my friend is using sony vegas studio 5 or something like that,
the videos he makes are quite good

If your looking to go into AMV making, then you should head over to www.animemusicvideos.org and take a look at the faqs they have on their site, it should answer lots of your questions.

I also make AMVs, but I dont have Adobe Premiere or anything pricy, and I get along.
