Re: The Boondocks
I've only seen two and they were hilarious. Boondocks used to be the only comic in the newspaper I found funny anymore, and now it's one of my favorite shows.

Re: The Boondocks
In my opinion, Family Guy is getting kind of weird and lacking in quality. The last one I saw with the pervert musical that went on for 3 minutes was just uncalled for. I do enjoy the Simpsons still though and and can't wait to watch the movie which will be out in 2008, though this date is subject to change. By the way, where can I find the Boondocks comic strip? You kill one man, your a murderer
Kill many and your a conquerer
Kill them all... your a God.

It took me a long time for me to warm up to Family Guy's over-the-top humor, but now I'm a fan. Those sequences they do sometimes that go on for uncomfortably long are just part of their style.

Re: The Boondocks
I do simply because the art style is much along that type. Even though I'm sure I read somewere of someone going on with how Anime was a copy of American art in it's start but either way the draw style still resembles it.
Anything drawn along that style I'll basically call anime. Anything along the style of family guy, american dad, simpsons, garfield, or comes from disney then I won't classify as anime. Ok, disney remark to broad so don't be nitpicking it.
EDIT:
Besides that unless I'm thinking of a different guy I could sworn Aaron McGruder is the one that released those useless "Drawing Manga" books or whatever it was.

Lol, this is great. Looked up online for some comics of it and found this:

Re: The Boondocks
Yeah the anime style of character drawing originated with 1930s American cartoons. Betty Boop is usually referenced for the large eyes and proportions. Obviously the art evolved differently in Japan than in the US, and now, amusingly, American animators are borrowing those points of style back from eastern cartoons. Most people reserve the word anime for work that originates in Japan, but really it's semantics. We all know what we're talking about.

That was last week's Monday-Saturday arc. ^^
