Has anyone watched this yet? If so, how did you like/dislike it?

i watched the preview that came with newtype magazine. i don't have much of an opinion, since i like robots that fight "things" anime. but i think it's cool. just hope it dosen't get too weird as the story progresses. it always takes me a couple of views before i understand what the heck is going on (evangelion is a good example).

Watched it over the summer... I thought it was pretty good, actually. Some of my friends call it "eva light," and a friend of a friend actually likes it better than NGE. But it is comparable to the famous/infamous series, on a few levels... the beginning, a kid is pretty much forced to pilot a "mech" to get out of a dangerous situation (but hell, types of anime that start out this way are a dime a dozen... think of one of the very first, mobile suit gundam). Rah has plenty of its own unique qualities, too. While Eva concentrates on lots of religous overtones, Rah concentrates on the concept of "sound."

The characters are good overall, with enough dynamic towards the end to make it a good series. Although I agree with cloud nine, at the beginning, the series really does seem like "eva light," in terms of character development and quite a few other ways as well.

Basically, I think it's worth a watch. The ending was alright, albeit you have to infer a lot of things. The movie for this is coming out soon in Japan.

It's recommendable if you like Eva and other mecha animes. The story can get pretty confusing (especially during the beginning since you have no idea what is going on) but bear with it and all the answers will present itself in a time.

The only problem I had with it is that I didn't like the character relationships in the story. It kinda copied Evas character development, but still it has it's own merits.

I watched the whole series over 2 days (26 Eps) i loved this anime, Evangelion is still better but this showed alot of promise. I liked the characters and the story was very umm evolving. If something crazy isnt happenign then they are haveing fun. Quon is an awesome character even though shes Rei's equivalent. When i watched this i didnt think about eva at all sure it reminded me a little but it was totaly different.:spin: :spin:
