FF11 anime name

Ever get an invite to a party just becuase of your anime name.(if you have one) I have gotten several invites to parties just because of it. I also get random /tells saying Lord Sesshomaru and what not. Lol on top of all that i have gotten a lot of LS invites. Can anyone else relate to this?

I tend to avoid people with anime names.... but that's not always the case.

yeah ive gotten it. people /tell me sometimes but rarely stuff like "hey batousai! dont kill me D:" but i havent gotten anything invites and stuff relating to my name.

I have gotten an invite once "because of my name."

There were 3 other DRKs seeking, two of them were Elvaan, the other was a Hume. We all had similar /search comments, all were Rank 5. The party leader told me he invited me because he liked my name. lol

Actually interestingly enough I know of two characters with extremely similar Anime names on Titan server, but with vastly different characters and personalities. One is Sesshomaru and the other is Sesshomaruu. Sesshomaru is on my friendlist but Sesshomaruu is on my blacklist. The latter shout-spams in all cities for gil and power-levels all the time so I blacklisted them.

The first LS I joined was BattousaiManSlayers, I just joined it because the Linkshell leader met me in Sarutabaruta one day while I was just starting out soloing and asked me: "Do you want a pearl, it's free!" And I was unable to refuse a freebie. I had a good time with those folks even though I joined for silly reasons and quite a few of them are still playing and are doing better than I as far as level and mission progression and we're on still on relatively good terms. We were all silly new adventurers at first though, and the fact that we were in that LS which broke up after only about 5 months is evidence of that.

I generally avoid people with names taken from anime, movies, games, etc. Just for some reason, seeing someone named "Sephirothx" or "Therealcloud" or "Maijingoku" just scream "NOOB" to me.

I recently got asked if I liked DMC due to my name even though my character's name is Dantai. Even more recently I've been asked if I worked with some insurance company in Japan by the same name. But I created Dantai based on Dante Alighieri (author of The Divine Comedy) and it sounds pretty neat (Den-ty).

I think Square Enix should let people put spaces in their character's names and allow for more characters.

No! Then people will be like I Am Teh Pwnzorzxxxx or like xXxCloudxXx... I find people that take names from other games/animes tend to be noobish.... It also shows peopel arent creative enough to come up with a name of their own they have to use something they have seen before or some stupid "username" instead of an actual name.

When you say "name of their own" do you mean a name not taken from anime or a game, or just someting they totally made up? I took my name from a book, but I dont feel Im being stereotypical or anything.

I mean something that has been heard of a lot, a popular anime or show or something. If its something people cant recognize then how would anyone know? But i think that the various spellings of cloud, tifa, sephiroth, tidus, etc are stupid

Lol, try doing a /sea all sef or seph and see how many you get, wish you could search for a series of letter that appear anywhere in the name, for ppl like xcloudx and such

I know... Ive seen everything from sefirot to sephirtoh to sehpiroht... Tidusxx xcloudx etc
