Final Fantasy Cartoon

Does anyone think this would be a good idea, or will it wreck the final fantasy series, it could like have 1 series for FIanl Fantasy VII, next series Final Fantasy VIII ect ect. orrr it could have all the Final Fantasy characters merged together.

Well in case you haven't heard, there is an animated film coming out, and it serves as the direct sequel to Final Fantasy VII, it's called "Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children." In addition there have been 2 anime series, one based on Final Fantasy VI (can't recall the name) and a standalone anime called Final Fantasy Unlimited.

There was the one: Spirits Within with Alec Baldwin (crappy actor) and James Woods and some other ppl. CGI was incredible, but movie well.......the movie sucked.

Ooh, I remember the FFVI (Forgot it's name, Final Fantasy Legend of the Crystals or something?) cartoon you are talking about. Didn't that one only come out in VHS and was kind of bad? FF:U (Final Fantasy Unlimited) wasn't much better I kind of didn't like the voice acting done I think they could of done better, but man is it odd and yet funny hearing the victory tune in a cartoon when the heros beat a guy (That cracked me up, Nobuo Uematsu must of been playing around when they did that).

Yeah the Advent Children look great. Oh I love that scene with Cloud on the motorcycle flying through the air and when him and his opponent strike blades on his way back down. I was like just like this: q(O.O)p

Think it's on trailer 3 they show that.

I was holding off buying a PSP becuase I wasn't interested enough in any of the games. If this comes out UMD only. . . well, that'll be the killer app I'm looking for.

It won't be out only on PSP, but there is a snazzy special edition planned for the UMD version. Hopefully it won't carry the hefty $250 price tag of the DVD special edition. But even then, a SE DVD release is unlikely here, and a SE UMD release even more so.

I want to see a Final Fantasy XI: The Anime, much like what they did with Ragnarok Online: The Animation. I want to see some cute Tarus and sexy Mithra, please!

There's actually a Final Fantasy XI manga in serialization in Japan, in a magazine copublished by Square Enix. I doubt it'll ever come here, though.

I just bought the Final Fantasy Unlimited series, and it was awsome. It has alot of sillyness and originality, as well as some emotion, and of course straight up coolness.

Kaze and that Mikenshi are realy cool.

Favorite Quotes "THE MAGUN HAS THAWED", and "The soil charge triad to use against you has been decided".

Summoning is always cool, its even cooler when it's done with a big hand cannon.

I also like the old, old Final Fantasy Crystal Choronicles (I think thats what it's called) anime, it was like a 2 disk. It was only vaguely associated with the old FFs from what I could judge, but it was still sorta interesting and original.

Spirits within is mildly interesting, I thought it had a strong start, but it just didn't feel like FF, and the bit where FF was taking place on earth kind of grounded the movie too much, it was too, just not good enough.

Legend of the Crystals was based on FFV, not FFVI. Too many panty shots. >_<;
