There was another FF anime a long time ago with a "save the world with the power of the crystals" type plot. I never saw the whole thing but it looked pretty crappy as well.

There was another FF anime a long time ago with a "save the world with the power of the crystals" type plot. I never saw the whole thing but it looked pretty crappy as well.Most of those suck too. Blush and Memory are funny though.

I think you mean Final Fantasy: Legend of the Crystals that came out in '94? It sucked too. Luckily it was only 4 episodes and didn't have as much money put into it as say...Spirits Within. ^^

Well we probably will never get FFXI Anime being that its not as popular as FFVII...so lets all hope the FFVII movie is as good as it will be. Otherwise i will SO damn cry...it just holds too much potential to suck ; ;

You have to admit that Spirits Within was technologically impressive for its time. I remember seeing the trailer for it before some other movie and snickering as someone near me commented on how bad the "acting" looked.

So long as we're talking about both subjects, did anyone see Aki's wireframe in Maxim magazine? That model was anatomically correct. Meanwhile, the anatomy of the phantoms is comprised almost entirely of tentacles. Coincidence? I think not. I'm just surprised none of the "private test clips" have leaked out of Square USA's offices. ^,^

You're kidding!! Wth?? It's obviously cgi!! ;;

Btw, I think the cgi for ff8 was better in a lot of ways than TSW. I mean animation wise. In TSW, there was too much jiggling when characters made slight or subtle movements. But, it could be that the motion was exxagerated because it was on the big screen.
