Anyone got .hack (full) anime??? is it good??

is it any good?? i watched the one that comes w/ PS2 disc and i think i like it.... are they the same story??? (cuz the characters i see aren't the same... the anime that comes w/ ps2 doesn't show in game characters):spin: :spin: :spin:

and since they have this collector box then if i should get it i think i should get it now...

.hack//Liminality just follows that Mai person, not really in game... whereas .hack//Sign follows Tsukasa... i have the first two episodes of .hack//Sign. got em from kazaa, and im currently downloading 3, 4, and 5 (which is what is included in that DVD set... which is 25 bux :spin: ).

there is a .hack//Liminality series, but, i dont know where you have to order it from... but, i know its out there

Liminality is an ova that will come out w/ the ps2 games, there are 4 in all (4 games w/ a 30 min dvd) the fansubbers are up to the 3rd ep, the 4th will come out w/ its game later this month (japan). i saw ep 2 & 3 in the newsgroup "alt.binaries.multimedia.anime.repost earlier today so...

i just finished downloading the last episode of .hack//sign off kazaa, i've seen all 25 before that. frankly, i think it's one of the best anime series out there. .hack//Liminality is just great. i only got 2 of em though. i recomend those who like anime and have cable or better, to go download it.

Okay, let's clear some of this up.
There are currently three Hack series out already, Hack//Sign, Hack//Liminality, and Hack//Dusk (otherwise known as the Hack - Legend of the Twilight bracelet or Hack//Udedun)

Hack//Sign is already completed with 26 episodes (not 25) Sweeping music, engrossing plot, great character designs. Some people say that the series lacked action/too much talking, and that the plot moved at a lethargic pace, but that's just their opinion. Experience it for yourself.

~note~ I SERIOUSLY don't recommend you watching Hack//sign on CN unless you want to ruin the entire series with bad voice overs and clipped episodes.

Hack//Liminality is scheduled for 4 episodes. Three are already available through fansubs. This series basically follows the game release Hack//Infection and provides background info on what is "The World". Unlike Hack//Sign, it revolves more around real life and the people who are inevitably sucked into "The World"

Hack//Dusk is a new series which just came out. It is up to episode 7, all available through fansubs. It is not known when it will end (most likely at episode 26) A somewhat toned down version of Hack//Sign. I haven't yet had the time to watch it, but from the opening, it's shaping up to be another hit.

Umm, just a thought, but shouldn't this be in the anime section?

I thought hack sign was rather boring... maybe it would be a better drama anime in a different scenerio... probably not worth the couple hundred dollars you would have to shell out to buy the all the dvds

i just thought sign was just great. i mean how many anime's are there about a MMORPG? i've only seen a few episodes of dusk, i agree that sign was a little bland at sometimes, but the music made up for it.

which is why you download them :p imo, .hack//Sign is very good, and i've only seen the first 5 episodes. gotta finish dling the rest :spin:

.hack//Udeden (Or Dusk, as some call it) is pretty good. I've seen up to episode 8, and basically its the opposite of //sign in a way-Concentrating on action and humor. Don't get me wrong though, the plot is still good. I personally don't like the chibi-ish style they're using, but its cool.

There are also references/characters from the games and some appearances from //sign characters too

Though if you object to people being somewhat in love with their sisters, you may want to pass o_o

Overall, good series, though I like //sign better. Nice to see some action though!
