I read the manga in Shonen Jump, but I don't really like it that much. They're at the fight of Captain Kuro, Django and the Meowian brothers. Do you know if the plot develops, or if it just gets better later on?

Oh man. Thats relieving. It doesn't really have much of a plot yet, and they aren't in any kind of big trouble. Do you know around what point the series starts to pick up? I think it has potential... But it's moving slowly right now...

at first i thought it was pure humor, which i like but it can get really serious and cool

Well after Kuro its the Baratie arc where you meet Sanji then its one of the best arcs in the series...Arlong Park!!!!Comment

It gets really great I believe... when they encounter mer-men, who are more than just fish. For example, one of them is mixed with an octopus. They're just another race of humanoids in One Piece, fairly well spread, just that there's a notorious group of powerful mer-men pirates. Main one, Captain Arlong, is a sawfish.Comment

I don't believe I was so late in picking up this show. i really like how it can be real goofy with comedy, then just do a 180 and then get real serious and dramatic
blood gushing everywhere, people near death...sigh
reminds me of the good ol' days with dragonball z
