type of anime

:confused: i was wondering if there is any anime that is about normal life ...no magic, no sword, no big mecha's, just one about relationships between friends coping with feelings and stuff like that.I'm a little bored of action/humor anime. So, ne1?

....oh yeah no nudity i find it creepy.

So far GTO is about as close as i get... it has alot of panty shots, but it's pretty funny and the lessons it teaches actually really good ones... the first episode is kinda slow though, the rest is great.

There are plenty of anime shows just about regular life, believe it or not. However, many of these shows never get released in the US, as publishing companies believe American viewers won't be interested in something that doesn't have giant explosions and gratuitous female nudity.

Many of these shows will never find life outside of Japan. But, there are a few exceptions. In or out of Japan, there have been series such as To Heart, Comic Party, Maison Ikkoku, and similar titles. Tokyopop is very good with titles like these, especially with the works of acclaimed manga artist Erica Sakurazawa, whose romance stories seem more real than anything I've ever read. (Although many of her works contain explicit content, contrary to what you seem to want.)

I highly recommend my favourite manga series of all time, Kare Kano (Also known as His and Her Circumstances). It's a wonderful romance story with brilliant and loveable characters. Evangelion's Hideaki Anno adapted it to a 26-episode anime, but dropped out of the production team towards the end.

Keep looking around, and if any of these shows interest you, you'll easily be able to find more like them.

Well.... there is love hina and there really isn't any nudity in it... from what ive seen.. lol I'm guessin you can try that? What do you think Pai?

hrmm, burn me for saying it, but i consider Love Hina to be on the "Crap" side of anime...like many of the series of it's genres, its simple storyline places an unlikely teenage male in an environment in which a large number of beautiful young girls constantly get naked and he falls in love with one of them.

Personally, I consider series like these to not only be cliched and uninspired, but pretty demoralizing to both men and women. I guess sacrificing story to allow for constant fanservice just isn't what i look for in an anime. :sweat:

Well, the emotional series are pretty much deemed shoujo. For an anime series, you could check out Kimi ga Nozomu Eien. Animated jdrama I tell you. ^^
