Excel Saga...The greatest spoof of all time!

I have just finished watching all six volumes of this show on DVD. It is the funniest anime that i have ever seen. I was just wondering if anyone else out there has ever watched it and/or could recomend other anime's like Excel Saga that i should check out!

i thought a lot of it was boring.
too many japanese cultural references--
which isn't too good when you're not in tune with it.

I've heard that Excel Saga is alot like FLCL (Fooly Cooly), so try watching that. It's only 6 episdoes long like Excel Saga but it's still good, one of my favs.

if you have trouble with the culture references there's a feater on the dvd that will do a VH1 style pop-up video notes for the show... sometimes you have to pause to read 'em though

Well, ive been in Okinawa for about 4 and 1/2 years now so i get most of it, but i did watch the pop up feature and it made it even funnier...and ill look for fooly cooly, sounds like its right up my ally.

I've seen both Excel Saga and FLCL. And in my opinion, Excel Saga is much better. I just didn't find FLCL very funny.

Excel Saga has had a big influence on me, in case you couldn't tell from my name or LS....
