What do you guys think of Full Metal Panic?

Personally, I think this is the best anime series out there and can't wait for the next season to be made. I recently discovered it and was wondering if anyone else has watched the entire set of 24 episodes that have been made thus far.

Anyone have any complaints about the series? Or any questions concerning a badly explained event?

i've read the manga that's in Newtype. It's cute and funny, I like it.

Usually series like this don't woo me enough, but I really enjoy FMP. I haven't seen the anime yet. I've been low on funding, so I usually wait for the box sets to come out...is it better or worse than the manga?

I always prefer the anime. It's great to see the characters come to life. Especially when the voices are so great.
Don't get me wrong, manga is also great

Full Metal Panic! is one of the more enjoyable anime series I've seen in a while. I highly recommend getting this title if you like mech animes since the fighting sequences are superbly designed (if your into that kind of thing). The storyline is a refreshing pace away from serious titles like Evangelion and Saikano, often taking a hilarious turn here and there ^^
It certainly goes on the top 10 of my list of best animes this year.

I liked Full Metal Panic, I watched the fansubs last summer, and was pleased with the series, I'm thinking about watching it again one of these days

I like the mecha genre in general, and the addition of a little comedy and high school romance adds quite nicely to that, I think, the characters were quite memorable, and there's a bit of depth there that is absent in many other series

one of the things that I didn't like about it was the open ended story didn't explain some of the parts of the plot very well, so the news of a sequel sounds particularly appealing

for a similar series with a bit less comedy I'd recommend Gundam 08th MS Team, I'm watching that again right now on dvd

I loved it, but the mecha action was horible imo, and then end was crap because they left so much of the story incompleat. But theres hope, theres rumor of a series 2. I sure hope it comes out.

i read the manga in newtype, but when i saw a trailer for the anime, there were mechas. what the heck? from highschool craziness to mecha warfare? i felt a little lost.
