  • One more step toward the mainstream...

So, someone got to it before me on the animenewsnetwork forums, so i thought i'd post it here

I was watching CNN Headline News and at the bottom of the screen in the News Ticker, I noticed that they gave a listing of the latest Anime DVD Releases. Titles like Final Fantasy Unlimited, Orphen, Neo Ranga and Heat Guy J were listed.

    Kinda interesting, dontcha think?

Kinda suck when something you do is well known between you and the few other people but hey marketing is what AMerica is all about, sucks that things that often get by word of mouth is now mass advertised. O well dosent affect me at all, im to poor to buy dvds.

Yeah, it really stinks when something that is not main stream begins to become so and as such begins to got more anime brought over.

Anime becoming popular is a good thing. Things that we had no chance of getting will now be possible and it will also be done better when it's for a large audence than a small one. Look at Disney doing Spirited Away and Castle in the Sky. With this kind backing we might start to see more anime in the theater, like the Cowboy Beebop movie was.

I am glad, because things will come over faster to the US and i won't have to DL crap.

I don't mind it becoming mainstream, as long as they do it right. I won't be able to stand anymore horrible dubs. I will always stick to my subs. I just like them that much better, except a few select dubs. With merchandise, that will be great to have easier access to. But I'm just a dub hater I guess >_>

Speaking of Heat Guy J, i think Mtv bought the airing rights to it.
