Dude dont be dissin the early FF's... Some of em are still way better to me than the ones released today. When I mention anything about old school final fantasy, its when the characters were still blocky, thus anything under final fantasy 6...
Final Fantasy 7 was an utter dissapointment for me.
Final Fantasy 8 isnt even worth a glance.
9 got me back on track.
10.... dunno something with it thats just not the same.

FFVI in case people forgot was remade the movie opening and such in it shows the characters as more then just little block images. I forgot if FFV movie scene in it's remake did the same, but just to let you know any mentioned characters from FFVI should be valid too as long as they are refering to the characters in the FMV of it ofcourse..

by no means am I saying that the earlier games are crap. My favorite Final Fantasy would have to be II (English Release, not true II). That was my first Final Fantasy and I love it still :D. I liked VII a lot, VIII sucked, IX was pure crap, X was crap and X-2 I feel stupider looking at it.When at first you don't succeed... well... you just suck...Comment

Actually yeah now lookin back at it.. 7 wasnt all that bad. Still not as good as the early FF's but its still something... I'd say it gets a passing grade.. minimum level though.
8 holy crap most messed up final fantasy game ever made, Squall was a total ***hole and deserves to have that gunblade shoved up his ***. Magic system was so messed...
9 had garnet in it, so I gave it free points.
10... First time I played it I felt like I was playing final fantasy with the added... hmm lacking a better term here.. "cool trendy shit" that surrounds teen life. Its just too damn popular, It doesnt fit into the final fantasy image i've known since I was a kid... People talk about Yuna and Tidus's love more than they talk about how fun the game is... and I really hate that for some reason. I feel that Square is just really trying to get the extra dose of hype into the FF series.
X-2... dude this is just fked up, have you EVER seen a sequel to a final fantasy game? This is a bloody shame seriously. This just shows that Square isn't what it used to be.
My vocabulary is limited, thus I cant really put my thoughts into words... apologies for it, hope you guys see what I'm trying to point out.Comment
