Lenne is a girl who basicly "existed" 1000 years ago, (refering to 1000 years before Yuna's time.) and Shuyin was her "lover" >> Shuyin couldn't protect Lenne, and they both died. Now Shuyin's "Spirit formed from hate"seeks out Lenne and revenge on Spira... because he couldn't protect Lenne, he tries to find her again, and because Yuna has Lenne's dressphere (Songstress) from 1000 years ago, whenever she has it on Shuyin sees her as Lenne.
