Ninja Scroll Series

Well, I bought the first Ninja Scroll series DVD today (not the movie). I thought it was... ok. Keep in mind that the movie is one of my all time favorite animes out there. But the show almost seems like its just more of the same... not a whole lot new to offer unfortunately. The fight scenes are all great but the story seems kind of bland. The characters are a mix of really cool to really annoying but at least there are so many to see.

Well, I was just kind of wondering what anyone else thought of it. If you've seen more than the first four episodes (off the internet or something) and you want to talk about those episodes, please give a spoiler warning. I've only seen the first four since only the first DVD is out.

Awesome, Ninja Scroll is also one of my favorite animes, and when I heard about the series, I was pretty psyched. After reading your post, I first thought that it seemed like a disappointment, but then I remembered that the characters in many animes are ranged from really cool to really annoying. Ah well, thanks for mentioning this and reminding me to purchase it! :spin:
