A few Anime Q's

1. How funny is esxcel saga, i mean is it lol real life situation funny or stupid cliche's that are more obvious than a square fitting into a square slot.

2. Steel Angel Kurumi, whats the ratio of fanservice to storyline/charecterydevelopment/comedy/everything else. Is the story good *exluding any/all/excess fanservice*

3. How many ova's are in the Read or Die series, i mean i bought this R.O.D dvd but it dosent have an episode count on the back and i dong think its a movie. i know R.O.D TV is coming out on dvd but i wanted to catch what happened before that so i bought this dvd. its intitled R.O.D- Yomiko Readman "the paper".

4. the sakura wars series, i know there was 3 ovas and a movie, do those 3 ova's take place before the Sakura wars TV timeline or is the TV timeline an elaboration of the orginal ova's (when does the movie take place)

i think thats it, sorry for all the Q's but i like to make sure im getting what i would like, espcially when it comes to anime. thanks inadvance ^^

1. I think Excel Saga is absolutely hilarious, although the humour can be a bit edgy. It's not at all the kinda every-day life humour you'd get from something like The Simpsons. It's completely stupid, random and adult humour. The rating reads "16+ for language, nudity, violence and comedic deaths." :p

2. I actually found Steel Angel Kurumi to be very enjoyable, despite the content. It's a magical girl show, so there is definitely a bit of fanservice in there, but it doesn't take control of the series. There are a few bathing scenes and some of those transformation sequences, but overall the fanservice doesn't get to be too much; I noticed much less female nudity than any other similar anime.

3. R.O.D. consists of 1 OAV, 1 TV series and a 4-volume manga series. There may be a movie in planning, but that's a given since the show is so hugely popular.

the tv series you mention is R.O.D-The TV isn't it? it was in the agust edition of newtype(whole group of articles on how anime girls are wearing less glasses, ROD-The TV is supposed to have no glasses). it's the english edition i am talking about, since i can only read a few of the kana from katakana and about half of that from hiragana(kanji, forget about it... i only know the symbol for day).
