I don't really think there will ever been any way to come to a conclusive answer to this question. There could be many answers based one what one considers "hot", so it's really personal prefrence. ^_-

If you want to know who my favorite female anime character is (I don't neccissairly consider them "hot" in the tradtional sense), it would either have to be Lina Inverse from Slayers or Deedlit from Record of Lodoss War.

Lina is strong, independent, and fiesty. She's also got enough power to blow up a freakin city. ^_- However, she's still got a soft side.

Deedlit's the same way, minus the power to blow up a city. But she's an elf, so that makes up for that part. ;p

One thing I always wanted to know, though... Why are people so obsessed with Evangailon? I'm not trying to insult anyone's taste or anything, but I just never saw why people liked Rei so much, or even Auska for that matter... Rei (if you base her on the Rei from the series, and not the numerous other pieces of fan art) is really just an emotionless clone, and Auska is just plain psycho... (Note that I have seen the full series, just not the "alternate ending" OAVs.) I really just never understood the attraction... *shrugs*
