X- care to explain?

ok i just watch the X movie X not to long ago, and it was pretty good. the only problem was that i had no idea at all why things were happening. im going to say what i gather from the movie and if someone could fill me in that would be nice. of yeah spoliers if you havent seen the movie

ok there are these three people, who are childhood friends, i cant remember all of the names, theres the main guy, fuma, and the girl. the main guy for some reason is asked to be the dragon of heaven, which is to save the earth from the dragon of earth. there are two sides the heaven side, and earth side, and they fight to the death in these domes for some reason, and there are seven of these areas for the domes. at some point fuma some how becomes the dragon of earth, then goes crazy and kills everyone even the people of his own team for some reason. fuma and the main guy then fight in the final battle, and course the main guy wins, the world is save. so pretty much, i just need to know why most things happened.

First of all, the X movie is a shortened version of the manga, which means they had to cut out all the sub plots and side stories.

The three childhood friends are Kotori, Fuma, and Kamui. What happens between them is their destiny that has been preordained, there is nothing that can prevent it.

Kamui was ordered by his mother (before she dies) to return to Tokyo where the final battle for Earth shall take place. Both the Dragons of Heaven and the Dragons of Earth want Kamui on their side. Whichever side possesses Kamui will be sure of Victory.

However, Fuma is Kamui's twin star, it is Fuma's destiny to counter everything that Kamui does. Fuma is the other Kamui. When Kamui chooses to become a Dragon of Heaven then Fuma must become a Dragon of Earth.

The reason why they fight in power/spirit shields, is so that the Dragons of Heaven can protect Tokyo, if everything inside the power shield is destroyed and the creator of the power shield remains alive at the end of the battle, then they can remove the power shield and there will be no damage done to the real world. As the power shield moves the combatants to a different dimension.
Each Dragon of Heaven has a specific location for their powershield, all of these powershields cover Tokyo to protect against the coming apocalypse.

When Fuma “Goes crazy and kills everyone” that is because Kanoe did not accurately predict the future, she thought she would have control over Fuma, but Fuma cannot be controlled and he only wishes to destroy everything.

though the OVA or "X" movie is is confusing - gory - sometimes just bizarre but you were remotely interested in it still you should really try and check out the series. not only does it explain a whole lot more but it goes into each character with more depth - you arn't just given their name, basic ability/purpose then witness their death lol. the OVA is pretty good i guess in my books (knowing a bit of the background) but the series and manga are where "X" really shines.

well im not to big on series, im cheap and dont feel like buying however many dvd it is. i knew before watching the movie that it was going to be rather confusing, but still a good movie. thats why you guys are here for, to explain things for me. after finally being able to figure out what happened with your guys help, the movie left out so much stuff. i might have miss a lot i was exterm tired when i watch it, so i most likely miss some subtitles. i probably watch it again seeing as how i know whats going on this time. thanks for your guys help.
