A few of the questions exhibit very poor research and knowledge; was Icemage or other knowledgeable players not available for consultation? =/

3.) Earlier we were informed that a Windowed Mode will be built-in to FFXI, is there any time frame for its implementation or any concerns that still need to be addressed, and if there are, what would they be?
8.) What plans are being made, if any and how, to improve the search function to allow players to seek on multiple jobs or otherwise make it easier to find XP parties? How will any new adjustments work and is there a time frame for when they will be implemented?

10.) What do you think of power-leveling new players by veteran players?
I'm pretty sure S-E has OK'ed this, but I can't find the reference because I don't know how S-E describes "power leveling"--need the exact phrase...

1.) Since the ToAU update, many xp parties have adopted the "Melee Burn" style of fighting enemies in the higher levels and because of this, there is no real benefit to skillchaining and magic bursting. In the lower levels, most players do not see much benefit from skillchains and magic bursts so they generally do not do them. Are there any current plans to encourage tactical coordination between players in a hunting party through the use of skillchains, magic bursts, and other cooperative battle features such as expanding the damage or benefits via skillchains and magic bursts? Or is there a possibility of adding an entirely new cooperative battle feature?

I just found out that someone has asked a similar quesiton to S-E before. However, S-E didn't give a straight answer, so it's worth asking again. >_>; (Yes, I'm biased.)

The questions are not from us mods or admins. The questions are from all of you....the players. There wasn't a lot to choose from and not all of us have the time to go to every FFXI site and read every question ever asked or answered by SE. Thats why they are posted here...for feedback and also to maybe get more creative juices flowing for more questions to replace the ones that have been asked already.
So any add-ons anyone? Alterations? Suggestions? And thank you for providing links to show that SE has possibly answered a question or similar question.

Seriously, with the potential that Dancer and Scholar both have to offer, I can't help but feel that there's no better time to ask this particular question.

Over the course of various adjustments these last two years, it feels like things haven't really changed much for MNK and THF. For MNK, its not so much that invites or getting EXP is a problem - the usual melee competition notwithstanding - but more to the end that the job really hasn't changed much since the game began and endgame MNK is rather dull when it comes to HNM and Gods.
THF is basically damaged by the fact that any job can use its best job abilities under subjob, with no melee job abilities to call its own outside of merit abilities. While SAM might have been retrofitted for subjob use, its not taking it on the chin like THFs constantly have to.
I'm hoping that with Dancer being added and being a dagger-centric job, that that means some adjustments are on the way for that weapon type. While other jobs may use daggers, its nothing on the level that THFs do and for jobs like COR and RNG, its to totally different ends than what THF uses them for.
Pikko: At the Premier Site Summit in March, it was suggested that the ability to seek a party on multiple jobs be made available. What do you think of that idea and is it something we can possibly look forward to?
Tanaka-san: It’s something that’s come up many times and that’s one of the reasons that we introduced the search comments and so people would be able to look at the comments and even though you can only search for the one job in the comments you can put, “I also have this job, this job…†Right now, the big thing holding up a change here is the actual engine that we use to do searching. To go in and change this would be very difficult. We’re definitely going to take it into consideration but again it’s a big difficult programming type of change and so it’s not something that can be done right away.

Not a lot to chose from? Are you serious?
I realize not all the people have the time to read all the sites, but my point is that you could've involve more knowledgeable people earlier so we get better choices. If you say you did the best you could, that's one thing, but don't put the blame on the posters for bad selection from the questions they suggested.

My feedback is "Some of the choices are pretty awful." Sorry it sounds harsh, but it's true.

The first was probably the best question, the third, ninth, and tenth were already answered, and the sixth and seventh questions are essentially them same; perhaps they could be joined.
If the choices really aren't set in stone, then I'll withold my vote until other options come up.
I think Akashimo just asked a good one.

I've been told that something was said about rng's and such getting something with the expansion. (Yes, rng is my only 75 job atm, so I'm biased) I'm just praying that something happens for rng's, thf's, and the other job or two that was inadvertantly hurt when the 2handed change was made. Granted, THF's need a bigger boost than any melee job. They've been getting the shaft ever since they got rid of Yokodama (I think thats what it was called, before my time).
I RNG 75 I WAR 37 I NIN 38 I SAM 50 I Woodworking 92+2
Yokodama was a SATA technique back in 2004 where a thief could apply SATA to the party member the mob was currently facing by standing beside and slightly behind the mob and having the tank positioned so that the thief was "behind" both of them. A patch in December greatly narrowed the angle you could be to a mob to be considered behind it, making it impossible to SATA the current hate target. Back then the SATA technique we're forced to use now was called fuidama.
Edit: Heh, found a paint diagram in an old thread here.
Apparently back then SA worked as long as you weren't in the mob's sight cone (which kinda makes sense) so if you were off to the side and slightly behind your tank you could SATA him.
