It is all cool, no foul, no harm.

I go by Alaska Time, so I set my clock to Alaska (GMT-9). o_O

      And it still said yesterday?

OH! Did you update your computer for the DST change? Or are you behind on that too?

      Kinda weird, but alright.

Why am I not suprised that AKsyo has gone from trying to prank us to trying to figure out our display problems?

Re: SquareEnix replies to February's "Ask SquareEnix" questions.

I was wondering if it was a prank, but to be honest that GMDave thing at the end made me wonder if it was real...

I mean seriously, if I was in PR, and knew of a fictional character like GMDave that the players had created, I'd SO use that as my name on the forums I wrote on and as my email.

          GMDave@yahoo.com, :D

          But that's just me

How dare you. How dare you use the good name of Beastmaster..

Actually i will have to admit it. That was very believeable. Which makes me wonder. Are you secretly working for S.E or have you ever doctored responses for them. Because it did sound official..

Nin75, Bst75. Drk61, War61, Rdm40, All other jobs are 37. All 3 starting city missions completed. All Zilart missions completed. All CoP missions completed. TouA completed.

No, you posted it at 12:24 AM PDT. So it was 11:24 PM ADT. Hence the day before.

Was just explaining why I got fooled even after suspecting april fools joke.

I have to say, I don't appreciate the heavy handed moderation in this thread with regards to commentary about Taodyn's blog. If you're going to show that kind of editing favoritism from here on out, I think I'd rather frequent another site.

Bad form, Admin. Seriously, bad form.

                  Dear FFXIOnline.com users,

As the person in charge of Community Relations and the Premier Community Site status of FFXI at Square Enix, the Community Relations Manager has certain "implied [read: explicit] powers" over the sites, in order "to maintain compliance for status". As [GM]Dave is in charge, he has issued several decrees, and one of them is that his moderation of his responses thread be supreme. I have yet to "moderate" anyone on this thread. As such, you may want to tread carefully on this thread.

                  Thank you,
                  AKosygin

It's a April fools thread, expect stupid things to happen. While yes you were right that it seemed that mods were a little scarce recently, for this you probably need to relax a little.

Just for the record, [GM]Dave sucks, and someone would have to do something stupid like make me a mod before I said anything else. I just believe more people in the world need to relax.
I use a Mac because I'm just better than you are.

AKsyo, you're missing the most important rule of posting.

IT IS ALWAYS BETTER TO POST IN AN EXISTING THREAD THAN TO START A NEW ONE.

Not sure I'ld use a character designed to lampoon my own companies customer service skills as part of anything official within the company. Working in customer service I can definately appreciate GM Dave humor though. Great April Fools prank btw

I do. And I get the spirit of the joke. Seriously. But when you get to the point where you're deleting and editing the posts of your users who aren't part of the joke, you're crossing a line.

I'm glad that the admins here have a sense of humor, and I did enjoy both of the April Fool's threads posted here today (this one in particular was very amusing/believable), but I think deleting posts that comment on Taodyn's blog in a negative way is a bit much.

                          Still, funny stuff.

Murphie, it was all meant in good fun.

I completely get that not everyone likes the blog. I mean, you can't expect everyone to like something like that.

Trust me, any and all bad comments made about the blog are taken with a grain of salt. We all have our own opinions and you are quite free to voice yours.

That's cool. I just wish that perhaps a PM had been sent to the people whose posts were deleted saying "All part of the fun of the thread, you weren't deleted for breaking the rules" or something along those lines, so that they were in on the joke and not left wondering why they were being edited.

No hard feelings on my end. I just wanted to let you guys know.

my only negative comment about it is that it hasn't been updated in nearly 2 months
