I guess we're waiting for a response to this one first. I don't know.

All we know is that they do read the forums. If our questions are making any difference or not is a matter of faith if you ask me.

Honestly though, we should've gotten answers back by now. I don't know what the deal is. >_>

            Re: February "Ask SquareEnix" Submission

S-E PR people in U.S. made a promise they have no power to keep--that'd be my first guess. (I'd hate to think they had no intention of answering our questions to begin with.)

My second guess is that they feel that if they allow formation of questions away from their immediate presence, the process wouldn't give them enough control over the tones and categories of questions. (i.e. They don't want questions which they can't/don't want to answer but would look bad saying "No comment.")

IIRC, the premier site junket they had last time basically spent most of the effort/time on feeding the site operators ("amateur journalists") with food and "exciting" sneak previews of upcoming addition to FFXI, and left Q&A's toward the end, after they were all fully buttered up.

S-E is (rightly) concerned about how their "official" proclamations are delivered to the players/fans, I guess. The heavy handed manipulations aren't exactly unusual amongst big companies, of course.
