There has been legislation in Nevada to eliminate or ignore DST. Nothing ever happened with any of it though. There's a large movement in Alaska to eliminate it. There was a small movement in Colorado to try to implement it full time.
Don't even get me started on Indiana.

To keep time the same for everyone, 15:00 should just be 15:00, whether I ask someone in California or New York or London. Time zone is stupid, IMO. I don't mind if noon is 01:00 for me or if the English has afternoon tea at 20:00. They are just numbers...
