Update to Forum Rules

Please be aware that there has been a change in the rules for the FFXIOnline.com site. Please be aware that any Real Money Trade offers, deals, or similar posts will result in a no-warning one-strike permanent ban. This is effective immediately. Discussion of Real Money Trade is strictly limited to topics of how it affects the community, game play, and similar topics. Any commercial activity in the Real Money Trade will result in a zero-tolorance permanent ban.

Please be aware that this is an increase in penalty from the temporary 365 days ban and a decrease in tolorance from the one warning alloted.

The way I understand it, is that you can nolonger advertise or offer it in any other way. Thats the general gist of it. You can still discuss its existence if you want. However, admitting you do it is kind of like hitting the goalie in hockey. The refs won't penalize you for it if its fairly legit, but expect to be eating your own teeth the next time the opposing team has the opportunity. I'm pretty sure admitting you do it will get you quickly hated by everyone of higher moral fiber.

Yes caspian that it is exactly for a quick breakdown:

Perma-bann without warning:

• Offer in-game money (Gil) if person pays you so much per quantity of gil.
• Linking a RMT site to our website
• Advertising about a RMT site

Not against rule:

• Admitting you have done RMT (Assure you the forum members are likely to get aggressive towards you, this situation what happens could result in warnings for different purposes)
• Talking about how RMT has ruined AH prices
• Talking about a group you suspect to be RMT employees or of the like
• Talking about your dislike of RMT

and the list goes on.

Basically you try to use our site as an Intermediary for RMT and you will be banned no exception.

The FFXIOnline.com Administration and Moderation Team doesn't need to do anything, the mob lynching from the community and your self-incrimination from any GMs passing by (and I am NOT talking about just [GM]Dave, no disrespect) will handle you. THAT jurisdiction, is outside our realm because the punishment from higher will be just that much more effective.

Hmmmm, brings back memories of when people first started advertising for selling their accounts on this site ^^~. I think i almost banned 1 person a day for a week.... or maybe 1 every other day..... In any case, dont do it ^^, even by accident =p or by joking ^.^ /grin
