I'd try another MMO in the interim, but honestly, I'm good with waiting. LOTRO is free, but I already played three characters to 50 in the first month of that game. EQ2 is FTP (sorta) and...yeah, no.

The Penny Arcade forums had some fun a while back with a bunch of people giving DOAC a try because it was a new free trial or whatever, but I doubt I could convince more than one person to try that. Still, it'd be fun to do something as a group.

I'm still an officer in my guild. And it's practically dead. So ... Kil'Jaeden Horde if you wanna.

Not that most FFXIers will wanna try out WoW, but it would be at least somewhat fun with people you sorta know.

If the WoW trial allowed me to play as any of the new races, I'd play for 10 days. ALAS. I'm not fucking re-upping a sub on anything while I'm job hunting.

You can't get out of either the worgen or the goblin area by the time you hit level 10 anyway. My worgen got to level 14 before I was finally able to leave Gilneas and go to Darnassus. Which was annoying. Though I liked the starting experience. I just wish it were able to fit into the first ten levels. And this was without any xp bonuses, either.

And I don't blame you for not wanting to pay for another game. Especially WoW, if you don't have the game already it's going to cost nearly $150 to get the whole thing if you get all of the expansions at once. If I remember correctly. I mean, the least Blizz could do is bundle LK and BC with the original game.

You can't even play as Blood Elves or Draenei on the trial. Original races ONRY.

And yeah, I had considered giving WoW another go, but man, the original game, plus all of the expansions? Even bought at a discount, we're looking at like $90.

Wow, I didn't know that. I started as Undead lol so I would never have known.

And yeah, WoW is retarded expensive. For the amount of people playing their game, you'd think they could afford to {lower the price} a bit.

It's unfortunate, because most of my RL and FB friends aren playing WoW, so I'd have any number of individuals to play with given the ability to afford picking WoW up, but yeah...

When FFXI comes back on line, Eticket and his wife still play, so I'll be able to hang with them, but that's about it for people I know IRL who play FFXI.

SE may have to keep their servers offline for a while unless they decide to go along with the planned outages and post daily "maintenance" schedules so that players could play for a few hours each day. The news release seems to suggest another 5 weeks of rolling blackouts.

its cool. Dragon age: origins on Hard mode is keeping me very entertained. got a reason to play it now. got tired of HALO and COD in the first 2 days of the shut down. thanks to Target clearance item u can grab Dragon age and all the DL content for 34 bones as a set.Good luck on Hard+ mode...

Playing WoW atm ... thought of going to Aks' server but it's not like I really play the game and we're in really different time zones.

I discovered my SNES and N64 units in my wife's bedroom over at her parent's place last night. After lots of swiffers and air cans and hunting around for cartridges, I managed to get the things to work. I was surprised at how tolerable the games are even after all these years ... still trying to figure out how to repair my dead PS2. lol

Oh, and Murphie, I vote most awesomest avatar for the month of March. LOL

Yeah as much as it would be fun to play with someone from here, I'm not on as much as I used to be. And we don't raid or anything. I spend most of my time working on Loremaster, leveling alts, and PvPing. I have no interest in trying to PUG raids, because people who aren't your guild are total dicks and I take a few tries to get the hang of things in this game.

I tolerated 10 25 man Naxx pugs back in the days to get a bow. Which was ironic because when I finally got it the very next week it got replaced by something better from the new 5 mans (H mode) ... laws.

That was my hunter ...

I raided mostly with my paladin, off-tank in a 10 man set raid, so we did Ulduar, Trials of the Champion and Icecrown Citadel. I quit before that new raid area was added, I think it was something like Sartharion's Lair...

Cut me some slack. I only returned to WoW 2 weeks ago and still trying to get up to speed. I don't even know how the f to play my paladin anymore...
