In pop, yes. In other "real" (for lack of a better term - not saying it's not real just that it's not taught in schools or anything as a separate genre - pop dancers generally know jazz or ballet or hip hop and get retrained) genres it's less about being flashy and more about the movement itself. Like with contemporary, you might see something that's cool but in the end you won't remember that any more than the overall emotion of the piece.

In ballet, it's so strict generally that it's hard to notice anyone with an additional flair, but those people usually get solos or lead positions anyway. Jazz is an 80s genre so you don't see it anymore. Hip hop has many of its own subgenres, most of which I'm not familiar with. Tap is all about the sound - if you do some cool flip thing, well great, but we're interested in the rhythm tapped out with your feet.

They all have their quirks, but I'd say pop artists or pop genre dancers tend to be the more "let me show you my one great move" than anyone else.

So the 22nd huh? I knew it wouldn't be just a week. It didn't seem reasonabler to bring it back online that quickly. That being said... 2 extra days is kinda strange. I wouldhave expected them to extend it another week... or potentially the entire month. As long as they don't pop online on the 22nd and say "Just kidding... 1 more week", I think we might be able to dust off our equipment ladies and gentlemen.

I'm in no rush really, I'm actually getting things done while the game is down. I still have a doctor's appointmnet and a a movie to catch... I say take your time SE.

They said on the 22nd they'll reevaluate. If Japan is still having power issues, expect it to be extended.

Dude that would be so fun.

You know what? Fuck it. You guys just come here. My apartment isn't huge but I can borrow some air mattresses and my sofa is super comfy (and of course my bed but come on now) we'll have a FFXIO posters party. Plenty of parking if you wanna drive too. We should seriously plan a gathering for everyone some day in the future. It would be so awesome. I have Verizon FiOS and wireless so bring your laptops, hide yo wife, hide yo kids, hide yo husbands too cuz they rapin' errrybody out here.

Okay went off track a bit there. But I'm serious. We should plan a gathering, if you guys are interested in Florida, my apartment door is open.
