  • Announcing the SQUARE ENIX Support Center

    FINAL FANTASY XI Official Web Site

    Oct. 7, 2009 19:00 [PDT]

    Beginning today, we will be launching a new support site called the "SQUARE ENIX Support Center." With this integrated support site, our goal is to provide up-to-date news on all SQUARE ENIX products, resolve our customer's issues even faster, and provide detailed support information, all in the easiest way possible.

    If you encounter any issues with our products or services, please contact us through the "SQUARE ENIX Support Center" and we will work to provide the best solution or forward your request to the appropriate support team. Using the new service, customers will be able to contact us through phone, email, and web chat.

    With our new service, we expect the Game Masters (GM) to be able to handle urgent in-game issues even faster. Also, depending on your inquiry, we will work to provide quick solutions via help desk messages. Please understand that depending on the level of congestion, replies may take longer than usual.

    Additionally, after the maintenance which will occur on Oct. 8, 2009 from 2:00 to 2:30 (PDT), the number of calls that the GMs must process before yours will show as zero, regardless of how many calls there actually may be.
    * We are planning to remove the number of proceeding calls with the next version update.

    From here on, please send all inquiries through the "SQUARE ENIX Support Center" or through the in-game GM petition service.

    Yeah, I think this is another step in making the transition from POL like the SE Members service is. Its a good thing, not the FFXI version update info I was hoping for, but very nice nonetheless that they're working toward a better customer support system.

      So bascially they can take as long as they want to before they decide to take the call. Well I'm not going to down them before they get it running, hopefully it'll be for the better as we move toward FFXIV.

        I always left calling SE as a last resort cause I hated how long it took to get someone on the damn phone just to tell me something useless.

          I hope they improve as well lol. I've been waiting on a Game Data Recovery for 6 weeks now, and still waiting for them to unfreeze my character. Little frustrating. You know, only minorly with the new updates coming out and all.

            hopefully with this, the brosale and brogames spammers will get banned faster after being reported in game rahter than waiting for the GMs to get the call for other stuff before the RMTs. (Not that the other stuff might be more important lol)
