No, I work weekends. I'm usually on by 8pm (1am for you) if I'm getting on (3 or 4 nights a week). I generally get to play a day or two during the week (wednesdays for sure and one other day that is semi-random).
Dear Lord I have been bitching about this for ages and they finally went and did it after I leave the game - freaking Heal Breath IV AT LAST!
Fuck everything else, that alone makes the update pure win. Nice to see DRG is getting some badly needed love. The jump & breath reforms are all stellar, and 1 minute jump is something else I'd been crusading for in-game for years. The only things here that really shocked me were the skill increases - did NOT see those coming, ever. More HP, and a significant increase to evasion & parrying is just badass. DRG almost has as much evasion as MNK & SAM now, holy crap... that's a lot of evasion for a Knight class.
Maybe I shouldn't give up hope on them raising SAM's Archery skill after all. This update actually makes me feel bad for COR - COR really got shafted by comparison, damn.
.... That's it? -.-; I would have rather they gave the abilities a secondary effect like... "Also may increase spell interruption rate." or, "May cause the target to flinch, stopping their attack.".
All the recast timers in the world still won't make Dragoon a tier 1 DD. The changes are notable, especially the relative increase in power of the merits, but Dragoon's issues stem from being more trouble than they're worth, and these changes don't do a lot to address that. Arguably the biggest problem with DRG has always been that polearms aren't really all that and a bag of chips, and it's an insult that their level 300 polearm skill is AoE.
I suppose if you have a mythic/empyrian/relic polearm, this would be less of a problem... but that's a long gap. Honestly the only neat effect is that healing breath IV can remove Doom.
