As for the automatic reloading of GoV and FoV pages... yay... now people can fucking afk their goddamn mules in a party and gain full benefit of every page. This is going to become a HUGE complaining point for many of us who don't want to leech our way up to 95. Goddamn it SE... you heart was in the right place... but where was your head on that one?

I didn't even think about it that way when I first saw it. I guess I don't have a leechers mentality.

I don't have the mentality... I just really hate leeches. Exactly what I posted there happened to me this morning. I headed to Gusgen Mines to lvl my PUP solo on some pages there and ran into a wall of 14 people standing on the ramp leading to the first room. There were 3 people killing the undead for page 1 synced at 23. each of them were the leaders of their respective parties... and were (I assume) not taking pages for themselves so that they could kill more without leveling up and ruining their rythem. Meanwhile... I grabbed whatever undead spawned in the second room while I watched the other 14 or so people they had in their alliance stand there and ding... and ding... and ding... and ding. Maybe it's just me... but that is infuriating.

And yet way back in the day they nerfed the shit out of so many fast EXP options like Sea & Chigoe (off marid)...


The fuck man. I really wish they would just either do away with skilling up (not really feasible though I guess) or just speed up natural skill gains tremendously.

Honestly skilling up is 100x a pain in the ass compared to leveling. EXP is a complete fucking joke now, but I want to just ram my head against a wall when it comes to leveling up my skills - particularly guard & parrying. It's one of the things I absolutely adore about XIV - NO GOD DAMN SKILLING UP WHATSOEEVER! You level up, your stats increase, learn new magic/abilities automatically (save for guild marks).



Honestly, with how lazy and shitty they got with the 95 relics as well, I think I may just skip out on 99. I really just do not give a shit anymore since SE refuses to cut off PS2 support so they can actually make a new expansion. They probably would have just been better off making a PS3 port and offering some kind of discount or something to PS2 users who traded up. All there is to do now is continue to grind for gear - Voidwatch is kinda fun, but it's still fundamentally flawed with regards to treasure distribution and I've done everything else there is to do...

At least XIV continues to show promise.

I have a Masamune, and when I say relic I mean all weapons of that class.


from 85 to 90 Masa gains 7 damage and 5 more STR. From 90 to 95, it's like +3~4 dmg and +2 STR. Whoopty-fucking-doo. It's the same for all the empyreans except Ochain which gains 5% more Dmg:MP and Daurdambla which possibly got more song duration (since nothing else in the help text changed).


Mythics got extra damage and nothing else as well (no Level 5 job enhancements as they've been getting) and Relics (actual relics this time) didn't get their standard additional 5 attack/acc and no further enhancements either (like Enhances Counter V for Spharai).


It's absolutely appalling to me, that they would do that. Especially with how much more horrendous the trials get as your progress.

So really, fuck it. I think I won't be adding anymore crysta and just take a break until SE adds something truly worthwhile. In the mean time, XIV's major patch is out soon along with Battlefield 3 late next month.
