This happened on the official forums, too. Pages and pages of arguing about whether the old system of inexact payments was bullshit or not when they already said they're going to fix it so it doesn't matter.

OK -- now I'm in ClickandBuy hell. My credit card company flagged their original $1.32 charge as fraud & declined it even though I told the fraud detection system that it was an authorized payment. Now ClickandBuy is telling me they can't verify my credit card because it's invalid -- even though they've since put through SIX charges of $2.40 each.

The message on the ClickandBuy site says to call their customer service number to sort out the issue. I called. The number has been disconnected. I tried it a couple of times just to make sure I hadn't mis-dialed the first time (even though I could see on my phone's display that the number was entered correctly).

I'm really fucking irritated now. Why must we buy credits from random companies to pay for a service we've been paying for for YEARS without a problem? Why can't Square Enix just take credit card payments like PlayOnline has been doing forever?

I'd look at the "Easier Payment Options" link, but it's blocked here at work.

Just looked at my credit card site. All the $2.40 charges are now gone -- I'm thinking BofA declined them. Twelve of them, now. TWELVE.

That is exactly why I waited until this week to do anything about the transfer. On the Zam forums, there were more than enough bad experiences in the first week for me to never want to go anywhere near Click & Banned.

Until SE gets their shit together, I'm going with Crysta via UltimatePay, two months at a time. And with my Discover card, fuck yeah!

Finally forced to buy some Crysta this morning. Used my card through UP and had no issues, didn't even get a surcharge for a $20 transaction. It's a functional arrangement for now until they get precise payment and eventually recurring billing up again.

FYI, just logged in to check my recent card activity and UP is apparently listed as being in Ohio, so no international surcharge.

I expect the answer is no since I haven't seen any specific announcements to this effect, but is it possible to buy crysta in exact amounts yet?
