With the long-awaited job emotes set to make their appearance in the upcoming version update, communication between you and your comrades promises to be more entertaining and expressive than ever before.

Today, we're giving players a sneak peek at what lies in store with a new promotional video! Feast your eyes on the complete set of twenty unique and charming gestures painstakingly animated to capture the essence of each of Vana'diel's adventuring professions.

*Final release version may differ from the development content shown in this video.
*Each job emotion must be acquired by completing a quest (minimum job level 30) before it can be used.



We've officially hit a new low... Quested Emotes and a blatant Naruto reference.


Some of them are actually pretty cool, like THF's. But there's a fair share of stupid ones too (RDM...) LOVE DNC's XD

BLM is sweet, makes me wonder how it'll work with casting animations (IE, cast while flying?). BRD I'll get just because. I don't expect I'll ever use it though. I LOVE SMN... that may be the first one I get. PUP is... wow.... I'm not even sure there is anything halfway decent about it...

Yeah...that was a pretty colossal failure of an emote.

RDM's emote fits the theme of Sexy Mage, but it's definitely lacking something. The emotes seemed very inconsistent, like the designers couldn't come up with ideas for some, whereas others were pretty neat and fit the job's theme.

I liked the Dragoon and Dancer ones, the rest where cool and a few very funny/cute.... but the Ninja one.... yeah pretty sad.

Except it didn't.

Anyway, BST and RNG emotes were pretty lame. I mean, butterflies for RNG? I'd rather have a gag gun that goes "Bang" with the flag than that playing with fucking butterflies. And BST sprouts bunny ears, I'd rather call out a tiger to pounce people with.

COR's coin toss and SCH's light bulb, while predictable, were both fitting.

But no, they ripped that light bulb off from Professor Layton, right?

The SMN summoning a Baby Chocobo was adorable, but I think sometimes it should be Fat Chocobo.

I think he meant the giant frog summoning. Naruto may have that, as well, but that whole thing is still an old Japanese legend / fairytale / story.

Red Mages are Kurama now.

I'm okay with this. Actually, I'm more than okay with this, since we got a much cooler character than Goku.

To an extent I agree, but I'm definitely not complaining.

And heck, questable at 30+ and usable on any job? I can be bandage-giver, knight-in-shining-armor, and sexy-rose-fencer dude all at once. Sound pretty cool to me.

I like how they put them all in full AF3. I just hope you dont need to have the complete set to be able to perform these emotes. BLM feet continue to elude me. ><

You're not familiar with the Story of Jiraiya are you (And I mean the actual legend that the character in Naruto is based off of)? Or even Naruto, lol. The only thing SE didn't do is the handsigns etc. 'cause they don't want to get sued, otherwise yeah, WTF @ a Ninja suddenly standing atop a giant Frog. I wasn't talking about the smoke bomb, though I'm not even sure if that actually comes from JP folklore or if that was invented out of pop culture need to look it up because now I'm curious.

Nin is kinda werid…(not liking it tbh)
Smn, Pld, War and Mnk are pretty cool though.
I think Drg and Blm are pretty damn sweet

Also…heh, question on Whm. He’s throwing a band aid on the Plds head while he’s healing right? Won’t it hit his junk if he’s standing?
