    If you can run on EU times on a Thursday or Sunday I can guarantee you a Jeuno run at least once a month.

      I work long hours on weekdays, but could probably make it for Sunday's run. <_<

        Well, that's why I said shells that were around for several years. Of course a new shell isn't going to form with half its members already having 5/5 -- those people probably wouldn't join, or are already in a more established LS.

        But if you just started your shell in 2010, saying "relic went in the game in 2005" (or whatever year it actually was) is kinda pointless -- it doesn't matter how long it was in the game if you weren't trying to get it.

          I didn't get my AF2 chapeau until late 2009 or early 2010....jesus I can't remember shit sometimes. lol I'd been in established endgame shells for a long time too. But then again, I'd always be a ninny and pass it to someone else. lol

            I seriously can't find ANY use for the Chapeau. <_<;

            The Elemental skill, DEX and enhanced spikes effect from the pants are 100 times more useful to me.

            Maybe if the Refresh effect was 3mp/tick, I guess...

                I never got resisted before the new lvl cap. Much less now.

                So Fast Cast is way better for me.

                  What, even when you're sleeping dark resistant mobs or silencing ahriman? I doubt this.

                  Spells that are easy to land are easy to land even without D. Chap., but it's the hard to land spells or very high level bosses where it really becomes important.

                  (Also, I find that Para2/Slow2 seem to be resisted more often than the original spells, so once you get those, you'll want more accuracy in order to be able to land them and take advantage of their stronger effects.)

                    I mostly solo and don't do endgame LS stuff so I never had any problems. And in Dynamis only Demons in Xarcabard resisted my sleeps sometimes but it was never a problem.

                    So yeah, I'd rather have inventory +1 than the Chapeau.

                      If you don't endgame stuff, no, Duelist Chapeau's Enfeebling Magic +15 wouldn't seem all that great, I suppose. Still, the Auto Refresh is nice for just about everyone.

                      Then again, if you don't do endgame stuff, you might as well full-time the entire Wise/Chasuble set for the giggles.

                        As expected what I do 99.9% of the time falls into 2 categories: Casting or Meleeing.

                        For casting I'd much rather have Fast Cast (and INT) on, for meleeing it's Haste I'm using. So there's no place in my activities for D. Chapeau and it's laughable 1mp/tick unless I'm iddling, in which case I'm probably /heal'ing or full mp already so that 1mp wouldn't matter much, if at all.

                        Also I like they way W. Chapeau looks more than D. Chapeau so even from that point of view Duelist just doesn't interest me. <_<;

                        Sorry.

                            Every hMP+1 is 1 more MP every 10 seconds of /heal on. In 60 seconds of full rest, hMP+1 is 6 more MP. Auto Refresh (+1) is 1 MP every 3 seconds, or 20 MP every minute.

                            So, to beat Auto Refresh (+1) from Duelist Chapeau, you need hMP+4 in the head slot.

                            * * *

                            From time to time, I have switched in the Duelist while melee'ing, when MP gets low. Think of it this way: when you do not want to touch Convert, your normal MP recovery is 3 MP/tick from Refresh. Auto Refresh makes it 4 MP/tick, which is 33% better performance. If you are using the MP fast enough, the Duelist head is pretty darn enticing even while melee'ing.

                            If you are nuke-kiting, I can't think of any better piece of head gear for the time in between nukes.

                              ...and you'd actually have to go into rest mode first. Also, the first 10 seconds don't count.

                              When doing campaign battles, I can have 3MP/tick with PUP 60/WHM, which is really nice. Vermy, MrcMjrCharm, and Sigil latent. And that's on freaking PUP.

                                Raydeus mentioned /heal, so "rest mode" was assumed.

                                He was implying that having time to /heal on meant Duelist head wasn't useful, and I was trying to maneuver him into searching for hMP+4 or better head piece for RDM (which doesn't exist, to my knowledge), and thus let him convince himself that he had underestimated the value of the Duelist Chapeau, even when one is taking a knee.
