With Scars of Abyssea now available for advance purchase via PlayOnline, players have no doubt been wondering what challenges await them. Well, wonder no more, for a promotional trailer offering a sneak peek at this latest battle add-on is now available!

I played DNC for a bit, but since I dragged my ass back from retirement no. I only use RDM. So yes I only play on job now, and probably will only play one job. But since I am confident in my skills and gear to do all the major forms of jobs (except tanking now) I don't worry much or have the need to level other jobs.

Short Answer, Yes i only play as RDM
Lon Answer. Yes, but I used to play as DNC as well

(i lied actually, I got into BRD for a bit and burnt it up to 74, but since then I haven't used it really at all except for in things with very close friends)

It was the first job I played as way back in 02 or w/e i started maybe 03 and I have played it for 7 years, and never got sick of it, if I get bored of one thing i do another, like right now I am all in a craze about nuking, I am loving my 1.2K watr 4's it is awesome. Tomorrow I might like to heal, or enfeeble, or buff, or all three, or melee, or pseudo tank, or or or or anything. But ya its the only job i am playing its really the only job i took seriously, and it is the reason I wont go to 14 unless I can be or create a RDM style class.

I have loved the class since FF1 and as such in every subsequent game where the job system was involved I created as many RDM types I could. FF1 was beat with 4 RDM, FF3 was beat with 4RDM FF5 was beat with 4 RDM FF 12 was beat with all characters knowing Swords, shields, white/green/black magicks. FFT was beat using somewhat RDM mages, as Squire/Calculator.

I play Cor and Dnc mainly now so I'm 50/50 on the AF. The Cor looks as nice as I expected but the Dnc is a little drab considering the nature of the job. That said, the AF and relic head, legs, and feet aren't exactly colourful so I'll hold out for a spiffy body.

Man, RDM "AF" looks fugly. But it's not like I'd get it anytime soon anyway.

Heck I'm still waiting for lvl 90+ cap to see if I can solo scenario fights to get the augmentable gear.

Why does the THF EA look like armor from Assassin's Creed? lmao

I'm kinda frightened at what it might require to get these pieces.... maybe instead of 50 Carbosse Gems, they want you to give 100.... then twirl around with your finger on your nose while wearing no clothes and be covered in choclate syrup while a midget throws bologna at your @$$......

Well, relic armor isn't nearly as insane to get as relic weapons. Hopefully the same will be true of empyrean.

I'd like to believe that but relic went in to the game how many years ago and let's not forget some people are still waiting all these years later for that chapeau.

Well, conversely, you also have to consider how disproportionately many more players actually want a Duelist's Chapeau, as opposed to, say, a Pantin Taj.

Really? Even after the northlands droprate fix? My old Dynamis LS broke up earlier this year due to declining attendance (there was some talk about reforming it after the updates made it easier to lowman, but I doubt that's going to happen since some key people have already moved to other shells) but I can't think of anyone who had been waiting a year or more for a beastman piece. Even most accessories wouldn't have been that bad if we had been able to consistently have enough people for CoP zones. (AF-1, on the other hand...) I personally picked up several Xarc pieces at the "free lot no restrictions" loot tier, after nobody lotted at the "anyone who has that job at level 50+ and doesn't already have it" tier (although I don't *think* RDM hat ever got that far).

AFAIK, that's more or less typical for shells that were around for several years -- the regular members were all 5/5 on their regularly used jobs that they had had leveled for a while, even BLM and RDM.

Well, my current Dynamis LS started back in February, and the lines for a certain THF gear and a certain RDM gear are quite long still. Though it's been only six months since we started as a wobbly shout LS, the level of whining about those two not dropping is irritatingly high. /sigh
