    Bonanza Results!




    Ladies and gentlemen! After a random drawing conducted under the strictest supervision, we are pleased to announce the winning numbers for the FINAL FANTASY XI 8th Vana'versary Mog Bonanza event!

    Starting today, the winning numbers will be announced via a system message that will appear upon logging into the game. The same message can also be brought up with the /servmes (/smes) command. So what are you waiting for? Log in and check the winning numbers straight away!

    Prize money and items will be available for collection between Thursday, June 24 at 1:00 a.m. (PDT), and Thursday, July 8 at the same hour. If you happen to be one of the lucky winners, you need only speak to a Bonanza Moogle at one of the following locations while in possession of the winning marble (or marbles) to claim your prize!
    Port San d'Oria (I-9) / Port Bastok (L-8) / Port Windurst (F-6) / Chocobo Circuit (H-8)

    So, what did you win and/or get?

    I'm proud to say I'm one of the lucky 5857 in winning a rank 3 (on a mule), along with my 13 rank 5 and 1 rank 2 winners.

    Also... I bought a range of 100 sequential marbles for 10 of my mules... 53951 to 54050 (which is how I was promised a rank 4). I was VERY close to a rank 1 AND Rank 2 winners. Much closer than should be allowed.

    As far as what I'm choosing, since all my winners were on a mule, I'm limited to non-rare ex stuff where possible so:

    12 Shadow Lord Statues
    1 Miratete's Memoirs
    1 Khroma Ore (the highest selling price before the numbers were released)
    1 Hermes' Sandals (Probably), which I may play around with a little bit before selling.

    All in all, 130 marbles x 2000 gil = 260,000 gil cost, with ~1.5 mil in return. Awesome.

    Is this the thread were we complain about getting nothing again? I need to find that thread before I log in.

    /consider Rank 5 prizes to be nothing.

      Whee. 3x Miratete's Memoirs for me.

      And +30 inventory.

      Maybe next time I should make sure my random numbers don't have any duplicates for rank 2. (I had 2 each of 22 75 and 78, reducing my chance of getting any rank 2 by 3%)

      On the positive side, I don't have to hold a Behemoth Hide for a month again until the price recovers.

              As with any lottery, it's fun to think about what you *would* do with the winnings. I spent my fair share of time looking over the various prizes, trying to figure out which pieces of gear I'd choose.

              And I'll do it again, next time!

                      Lmnop, could you do me a favor? Could you post a close up pic of the Alexander Statue? I'd like to show my grandson (who's named after Alexander).

                        I thought instead of figuring out my photobucket info, I'd try to use ffxio's album feature. But uhh... I guess the best I can do is link to it:

                          Thanks a lot Lmnop! It's hard to find Alexander stuff. I wish they'd come out with a model or a figure.

                            Yay, I'm sitting on a Khroma Ore for the next month or so.
                            (Waiting to see of the price will go back up a little.)
