    Nice last minute "save your ass" ability while your running to zone i guess....but if your running your ass off to the zone to get away instead of sleeping the mob that usually means your out of MP which makes this useless.

    So does Protect V mean that the merits WHM used to get Protect V just became a waist? Are the WHM out there going to merit something else now or going to keep what ya got?

    Don't get me wrong happy we RDM's are getting some for magic DD but seriously nothing thats "NEW", which hacks me off.

      Jesus so awesome, Cor get's movement speed!!!! and Fast cast!!! 11 get's double duration! friggin amazing! gonna have to go 5/5 on Fold cause i'm probably gonna be busting.... alot.

      Dancer stuff is amazing, getting dual wield without /nin is amazing. DNC is already a TP beast I can't believe i'm gonna be able to sub Sam and carry 2 daggers still. AND sekkanoki goes to level 40! Guess who just got a permenent spot in Endgame Events!

      Wow, haven't been this excited in a long time!

        RDM just got an update. Remember Composure?

        Nice last minute "save your ass" ability while your running to zone i guess....but if your running your ass off to the zone to get away instead of sleeping the mob that usually means your out of MP which makes this useless.
        What else would you use? Utsusemi? Gotta have /NIN. Stoneskin? Gotta have /WHM or /RDM. Blink? GMAFB, but still /WHM or /RDM. If you were a BLM, wouldn't you like to not be limited to three subjobs just so you can sleep the thing that's beating you into a bloody pulp?

        Question: what does the second Protect/Shell V merit do? (and the 3rd-5th?) They set this at 76, so the first merit should still let you use it a level early, but I'm going to guess that the no-merit version is a little less strong than the one-merit version.

        Because RDM never got anything before, ever. Especially not in the past year. Yeah, give SE all the bitching they deserve!

        Still, no JA in the 75-80 range for RDM? That's the screwy part.


        ...and still no word yet from SE on what the "requirements" will be to reach 76.

          ...wait, huh? The Magic Burst bonus is for Blm/Sch/Nin. Drk only get the "TP for casting" bonus.

            I missed the letters "TP". Also, that table didn't format very well, making the other jobs harder to see. (And I never said other jobs didn't get the burst bonus, but look at the level difference.)

                What other sj would you use besides those 3? It lasts 5 sec....yes might let you get off a sleep but if you couldnt land a sleep while it was running at you to kick your ass odds are you aint going to get land another one...at least for long.

                Ya we got composer....seems like it was a long time ago but really wasnt that long ago. LOVE IT btw! But still really hacked that we dont get at least a new JT! we havent got a new FC trait since 60? forget actual level but cant believe we didnt get one at atl east 80.

                And I feel really dumb ask why rdm/dnc so awesome lol Still waking up when I read that. I thought it was like a DW trait that just reduced delay like if it was on a piece of armor not the actual ability.

                Ya I have no knowledge of Protect V so pretty interested in some imput as well.

                Missed the COR FC! excitied to see how much that actually is.

                Oh and is SMN BP for just diablos fenrir and carby? im guessing?

                  Thoroughly underwhelmed from a Red Mage standpoint honestly. Native Regen II is nice, but folks are already going to be subbing Scholar a lot. Fencer going to anything other than us irks me. Change the name or something, but don't taunt me like that. Losing exlusivity on Phalanx is kind of annoying, but at least it's going to a job where it makes sense: Paladin.

                  I guess I just don't see RDM getting anything indicative of where it's headed. Tier 4 nukes, a bar spell, a Regen we could already access and a buff that used to be merit only but's still not terribly useful.

                      Apparently this was an error in the original posting that has since been corrected.

                      The duration is actually 5 minutes. <(O.O)>

                      Presumably you'll lose MP based on how much damage you take. Now think about what might happen if you have it up and then pop Manafont.


                      And someone on wiki forums pointed out that DNC is not getting the Resist Amnesia trait. (I don't think I'd want to see that at a subbable level anyhow.)

                          i cant see the pictures…but I was fighting gnoles in BD[s] yesterday. They are the weakest ones I can find (~Lv65) and they were using that Cure TP move for 1952 ><
                          Yes…its probably stupid to fight them during a Full moon…but when you’re 350/400 on your Magian trail…you just gotta finish it.

                            I'm guessing strictly from the wording, it's only if you're single wielding

                            I'm curious if it works with two handed weapons or if that's considered using both hands. I'm guessing it won't work with great axe.

                              yeah thats how i read it. It might be a nice bost for my Bst/whm. I dont see it being very good for War though...last time i saw a war with a shield was in the dunes

                                The DW Trait is the ability that lets you DW. With Dncs getting it natively, it means people who use one handed weapons don't have to have such a heavy reliance on /nin. At this point, going /nin would just be to get Utsu.

                                I dunno, seeing as the War version is subbable, it wouldn't surprise me to see it be used for 2 handers as well. They are, afterall, a main hand slot only weapon. It could be SE's way of trying to make /war still viable post 90.

                                Also, if it's only useful for one handed axes, it would end up being a very lame trait.
