Is splitting the buff even possible? The way I read the update notes, the Favor buff builds up in power as long as the avatar is called then vanishes when it leaves.

The effect's potency will gradually increase until the avatar is released

No, it's not. That's why Karinya said it was impossible to do.

The problem is, many times there will be no beastmen to attack. Just a lone, unguarded fort for a 30-40 minute campaign fight. Which nowadays nets you about 20 exp. The fort Exp nerf was one of the dumbest things SE could do for Campaign.

2 - Def up is kinda moot... 5~10% damage reduction buff , even if only physical, would justify keeping titan out.
3 - Why the hell not? So far it's looking like Ifrit, Shiva & Diablos onry.
4 - Again, why not? Eventually the SMN's MP is going to give out, especially if you're using hastega. Another 5% haste is reasonable enough, possibly higher depending on the category (likely magical). In any kind of zerg scenario you'll have a BRD using SV anyway so it'd be irrelevant and how often you need +evasion in a PT setting?
1- Most likely, Diabolos and Fenrir were the last things announced in their respective updates.
2- This I can actually agree with. Def will mean nothing against anything worth a damn, at least Dmg Redux would be useful.
3- Because Fenrir already gives an Acc boost and Ifrit can give an Att boost (though admittedly, his does suck. It really needs to be fixed)
4- Garuda has one of the lowest possible perp costs of all the elemental Avatars, has some of the best abilities and spells (powerful rages, curing, haste, blink) and can already survive longer then other avatars when under attack, the last thing she needs is another super buff to put her further ahead from all the other Avatars. Besides, being able to haste, increase eva AND cast shadows makes her a tank's best friend.

Too useful considering its general rarity, unless it's available in a very small amount. DMG Reduction is one of those "top tier" stats that is always effective and whose benefits increase exponentially.

Also Titan's Favor is useful in situations like CoP 6-4 (U/O), fighting Charybdis, and non-EXP situations where you're up against something with powerful physical AoE.

Eh, Garuda would be better against Charybdis seeing as you're most likely low-manning it and very few people will be attacking it. With haste, eva and blink, in addition to a stronger Rage BP, Garuda would be more valuable overall.

And I don't think 5-10% Physical Dmg redux would be too overpowered. It's a very rare stat as you claim, most jobs can't really stack too much of it (unlike haste) and it's generally found on pieces that hurt as much as they help. I think Mnk has the easiest time getting -Phys Dmg with Ahrat+1 and BB, but even still it caps at 25% total from gear (iirc) and forces you to give up DD gear to get it. Hell for a Pld to get a decent amount of it they need things like Defending rings, Valhalla gear, Hauteclaire and such. The fact that it is so rare and hard to get, combined with the fact that many pieces force you to take a bit hit in DPS balance out the effects of it's usefulness imo.

Re: Job Adjustments and Additions: Part II (10/21/2009)

for both damage types, a simple 5% reduction would be plenty (starting at 1 and building up to 5).

Otherwise a physical reduction starting @ 5 and going up to 10 would suffice. When was the last time you saw a BRD use Minne over their other buffs? Oh that's right...

In situations where you'd want Damage Reduction, the DPS loss from equipment is meaningless.

Err... unless I seriously missed something, she has the same perp cost of every other avatar, with the exception of Fenrir, Diabolos (who are both more expensive) and Carbuncle (who is the cheapest), even without factoring in gear such as elemental staves, carbuncle's mitts and the like. AFAIK, Carbuncle's mitts are the only equipment which lowers a single avatar's perp cost (I'm not counting the elemental staves, for which there is one for every avatar)...

                    Accuracy bonus = double attack.
                    it's slightly better but:
                    haste = double attack.

No need to include either of those in the blessings.

Damage reduction = phalanx. May as well give your paladin some Refresh while keeping up Noctoshield.

and the bitching has started, always fun to listen too.

The changes to BST and SMN, help them out a good bit, they don't make them OMGWTF1337, but they give the two jobs the little boost they both needed.

Alot of the people that complain, bitch, and moan about almost every update, need to get over themselves, and go play something else if they hate it so much.
