It's actually pretty rare to hear it nowadays, but after that movie first came out, I swear to god I could not escape it. It really doesn't bother me that much, but it's always people who think they are being creative, like I've never heard it before or something.

Aw you've heard that before? j/k. by no stretch am i trying to be creative. Just me making a lame joke. I personally think it's a funny name. The last name that is, Julia is actually quite nice. Could be worse...you could be a Martha.

Hint: to my knowledge, at least, only one fictional character, ever, has held this name. And I swear most every person I meet thinks that they're the first person to ever make the association. While I don't get the Julia reference, Aks, know that I feel your pain. >.<;

It’s from the movie ‘the wedding singer’. The girl in the movie (Julia) is engaged to a jerk whose last name is Gulia (sp). So…hence Julia Gulia if they got married.

Kinda reminds of Dumb & Dumber. If Lloyd Christmas married Marry Swanson…she’d be Marry Christmas.
